    Audiophiles swear tube amps have a warmer sound compared to solid-state amps. A test showed tube microphone pre-amp and final-amp to speakers have a warmer tone than all-solid state systems. How objective was the test?

    Anybody know if Macintosh still makes stereo component sytems? A quick Google search only found computers.

    Besides getting the heart beating faster, caffeine gets drugs into the human system faster. The selling point of Excedrin & Excedrin Migraine is the caffeine.

    I have seen alcoholics drink more cups of coffee at a 60 minute meeting than I drink pints in an eveninig of darts!

    The battery affects the capsule's re-entry into the atmosphere. If it fails, scientists might not get their hands on solar wind particles.

    This was a typical NASA mission. NASA is not the premier science/engineering organization anymore.

    The military has always used simulators.

    Aircraft training simulators, GCA radar simulators, ATC Tower Simulators, blank bullets and lasers, villages and buildings, etc. Wargames are just simulators in low tech (done in the real weather).

    Soldiers are athletes; the harder they train, the better they perform. Great performance means living to a soldier, an athlete just gets a chunk of metal.

    War is inevitable as long as one person does not like what another posesses, believes, articulates, or appears.
