Microsoft doesn't want any operating that work as equal to or better than a MS OS. Remember they are not trying to take over the hardware market. They are only starting to sale hardware in every single market that exists. I think the Monopolists of early years called diversifying, or in modern vernacular MSifing.
If you become a manager you can avoid this. I work in place that has 4 Managers for 11 people. We need computers that can take the place of managers. Then the IT staff can hack them and really get their work done.
If the community keeps all the hacks secret all software will be secure. No one will need to patch their systems. Personal firewalls will no longer be needed. Anti-Virus will a thing of the past. I think this is what the white house and other insecurity, are really trying to tell all of you. Don't share and don't hack. That way no one know about a hole. ie, China will be the only place that can hack into your system. Well including the government, MPAA, RIAA. Remember if you don't know they are doing it. It's not illegal. So IF are smart enough to find a hole, don't tell and OWN THE SYSTEM. At this rate it won't be patched and they most likely won't even know your there. This is how our government is going to protect us.
This could be a government plot to get people to stop reading books. You have to remember that it is easier to control an illiterate sociaty, then it is to control a literate and informed sociaty. A lot of the new laws are designed to stop the flow of information mainly within the acedemic community, R&D, etc. I a lot of ways being an overly PC culture is really hurting us in our freedoms.
I would like to protest against these test. Atoms should not be used in experiments. They have not had the oppertunity to become the most they can. I would like to setup a sancuary for these atoms, where they can roam free, and collide at will. A little place called Iraq.
Remember most of those chips are made in that region. All China really needs to do is invade and they will have everything they need. Or they just hack into the intel network and steel the plans. Which ever works for them really. I like the idea of the secure chip I just like the idea of MS being involved in it. After all they already tell the NSA what to do.
I would have to say that to compare the Nuclear threat, from the Cold War is not even accurate. Each side said if the other attacked, we let loose or nuclear force to completely destroy your land and people. That kind of talk doesn't really have an affect on the Radical thinking. I say radical not meaning just religous radicals. They would walk a bomb of any kind and lay waste to the biggest area they could. Where the former USSR would push a button, from inside a secure location. Much the way the USA will. I would also ask that you walk to the tallest building you can find, then think about your best friend who works there. Then imagine walking by the place where the building used to stand and where he/she/they died. Do this every day, while on your way to work. They weren't just killing amercians. They killed people from every major country in the world, that is why we don't and can't understand why they did what they did. They went about it in all wrong ways. They don't read or follow world history, so they are "destined to repeat the mistakes of the past."
I would also say that Japan is much bigger Tech-Jumkie than any country could claim to be. And look around there rich people everywhere. Look at Arifat's bank roll. Mr. Iraq is almost a billionair, Bush, Blair are millionairs. And your making comments about us being golden boys.
"Abosolute power currupts absolutely", The CEO's where given too much power and that is where the stock holders went wrong. Kind of reminds me of a lot of those Middle East countries in many ways.
