please stop all whistling, tapping and humming in the office. It isn't musical entertainment for anyone, not even you. All it does is raise the blood-rage in my neck.

references to the movie Office Space. It wasn't that funny in the movie, and it's less funny coming from some intern who has never really worked for a living.
Do you suggest all southern accents sound alike? Can you not hear the difference between Tennessee and Mississippi accents? Yes, to me all Canadian accents sound similar. Maybe because I only hear tourists, and fake canadian accents in the movies.
I, and about a million other people, crushed the core of a Duron procerssor while clipping the fan on. Not content to be included in such a broad statistic, I crushed the second one too. So then I loosened up the fan clip by bending it, and didn't put any thermal goop on the back of the fan. This time I actually got to the bios screen before the third processor burned up...
Presumably it is because you have to simulate physics and do collision detection on all of the pieces. Blow up a hundred walls and you frame rate could slow to a crawl...
You are so right. The amount of artwork, and the detail of each model required to populate such a game is staggering. Perhaps it is now up to the software guys to come up with novel ways of synthesizing this amount of detail, to take some of the load off of the artist. In the past techniques like multitexturing, bump mapping, displacement mapping, subdivision surfaces have improved the illusion of detail. I imagine that similar innovations will keep artists from having to model by brute force.

Rendering Toy Story at 60 fps is one thing, playing Toy Story is much more difficult.
Kids with Down's Syndrome can graduate from US public schools. I suppose it is good for the ego of the disabled kid, but it seems to indicate that standards are pretty low here.
It's pretty sad that every semester in IMDL some numbskull has to do a project glorifying binge drinking (like the shotbot) in this class. Yes, we know, you're in college, and you must drink because of all the "stress", but show a little creativity for christsakes. The animal house cliche is played out. How many drunk frat boys need to fall of the roof and die before people get it?
for showing me an ipod. I wondered what these new fangled mini-phonographs looked like.
Does it really matter if it will play dvd movies? If you can afford a $300+ console, you can afford a $50- dvd player.
Coding is as much a gift as auto repair or plumbing. There is a reason you don't see "Teach yourself physics in 24 hours" books.
No, but I have heard of "approximation algorithms."
and after I pooped it out it worked fine!

The grammar nazi.
People who explain themselves for too long.

Nature never has to convert between metric and English units.
IE has been developed by interns for several years now, ever since they finished SourceSafe.

And never preview before posting :)

They better have at least 10^100 machines, or they will be getting a call from my lawyers.
