    This is based upon the typical thief work-week, with 2 weeks holiday annually in Cancun.

    This isn't like NASCAR where everyone is supposed to have the same strictly-laid-out set of guidelines.

    Proprietary software products can give an edge that can generate earnings to make customers and shareholders happy. That's the purpose of a corporation.

    This Korean ruling is like telling Ford Motor Company that their Shelby line of cars MUST have little rubber magnets with pictures of alternative sports cars affixed to their dashboards.

    Aren't the effects of this student's blogging the same as Terrell Owens of the Philadelphia Eagles statements?

    I've always been told it's not what you say but how you say it. We are sure T.O. could have used more-proper channels to vent is emotions. Perhaps this student could have as well?

    We do have the right to free speech. And listeners have the right to react to it.

    Everyone has to start somewhere! Good job with the book.

    Visual Studio .Net, specifically VB, is the only product line we use with our PAYING customers and they love the results.

    VB can be very fast for GUI prototyping and in .Net ALL of it's languages (VB, C#, etc.) are compiled into CLR (common language runtime) code.

    For our customers we've done Web Services, .Net Remoting, Web-enabled windows applications, Web sites, pure middleware, and it's ALL Object Oriented--- mmmmm, inheritance, polymorphism.. the possibilites boggle the mind! Code on dudes.. code on. :-)

    Separately, there are some great logical solutions to problems involving the use of GoTo-- we use it to manage the class instance variables (and their states) in a multi-threaded application loop where the number of threads is adjustable at runtime.

    Technologically things have improved over the past 6 years. Financially we've come out of the Clinton recession. And politically, Clinton had Bin Laden in his hands, let him get away, and left the U.S. poised for 9-11.

    Why would a software corporation engage in an activity where revenue would be minimized?

    Answer: he wouldn't if he wanted to keep his job for long. The shareholders wouldn't stand for it.

    This move comes as Microsoft is pushing its own virtualization products and recently relaxed some of its licensing requirements around Windows Server 2003 to facilitate more pervasive adoption and use of those technologies.

    Did it take Microsoft actually doing it to make this a priority?

    If it was part of the U.S. the following benefits would be realized:

    - Easier extradition of criminals

    f I were stuck in a 3rd world country with corrupt governments and no legitimate way to feed myself, I'd be tempted to turn to scamming "rich" people too..

    So the scammers do have time to practice theivery but do not have time to fight for their own freedom and a better way of life for themselves and their families.

    That kind of lazyness isn't deserving of financial support from the individual (American) idiot nor the American government.
