Currently, in Australia, you can get a digital set top box at Kmart for $50 or less. They only decode standard definition, but then again the TVs that these will be plugged into won't show HD anyway.

Thanks to speed cameras, you can drive as recklessly or irresponsibly as you want provided you do so below the speed limit, as there are very few traffic police left on the roads. And if you get fake plates, or don't register your car, you can do those at any speed you want, because the speed cameras can't touch you. But it isn't even that. A speed camera does nothing to stop a car doing 200 in a 40 zone crashing into a group of nuns carrying puppies. A real police officer would. Getting a ticket 2 weeks after the fact means nothing when puppies are dead.

No I have to call bullshit on that.

IE7 Might not be the best browser out there, but it is leaps and bounds better then IE6. I think the real disappointment here is that they aren't going to develop it any further and fix the bugs. There is room enough for IE7, and if they fixed their crap I wouldn't have a problem using it.

Yeah but those 20,000 insurgent deaths have only served to solidify opposition to American occupation in Iraq, 3800 American deaths has really only polarized opinions at home at best, and at worst swung a large chunk of the nation against the occupation.

That fact is that with every tragic death, no matter which side, Americas job gets harder.
