Since RealNetworks is all for "compatibility" and getting their stuff to play on the iPod, when do they plan to offer support for Macintosh users in the Rhapsody music store?
Well the actual color of the games section is ok by me, it's just a little dark (especially the logo). The IT section, however, makes my eyes want to bleed.
What the fuck is the Internet?

I know I can do that. But I choose not to. I'm not complaining, I still actually use the notifier on two computers. But the ability to alert of new mail in labels is just something I'd like to see.
I'm sure he meant labels, but he's right. It doesn't tell when there's new mail in the labels, just the inbox. I submitted feedback about that to them. I suggest others do the same thing if it's something you'd like to see.
The RIAA, a trade group representing the U.S. music industry
I know they're a US organization and all, and slashdot is obviously global, but really, are there THAT many people who don't know who/what the RIAA is?
I don't know. For beverages, I think in units of 12 oz cans (and even some 8 oz cans now), 16 oz bottles, 20 oz bottles, 24 oz bottles... and then it moves into 1 liter, 2 liter, 3 liter, etc.
For all other similar measurements, I may think in quarts, gallons, etc. But for most beverages/soft drinks (exceptions of milk/oj/etc) I think in ounces.
I'm not sure what school you went to, but 3.0 was a B at Penn State.
A: 4.0
A-: 3.67
B+: 3.33
B: 3.0
B-: 2.67
C+: 2.33
C: 2.0
etc.
Alex: "this is the sound a dog makes..."
Sean: "moo"
Alex: "no"
Sean: "well, that's the sound your mother made last night!"
Well, I must agree, that would be quite fitting for the topic.
It makes you sad? How do you think the dog feels? I mean, he's just "+ dog" ... I'd be pretty pissed.

What about them...? ;)
Not sure though. My guess be that this may be some sort of "temporary" category before the US elections... not sure though.

At least they did a better job with the colors/logo than the nasty IT section... ;)
They can can sell at a huge loss
You mean like the XBox?
So how long until we get a new slashdot icon that looks like this model?
And I think it's very likely that anyone what reads your post will be MORE confused... :p
Lifetime supply of iPods!

Thank you, I'll be here all week.
So which is it? 25? or 35? Come on... :p

Cruising at 350+kb/s now. Uploading at about 10kb/s I think. Cable modem upload sucks of course, but I'll leave it on for a while.
I'd love to be in the room when the "brains" behind the RIAA finally say "screw it - we lost."
Somehow, I don't think that will be any time soon...

Touché, salesman...
For those of us in the US:
Google has the conversion.

Ya, god (or whoever) forbid that I make a wallpaper out of the part of the world that I live in.
I will have my revenge in meta-moderating!
Because I wanted to trim it to my destkop resolution at full quality and NA was all that would fit... and well, I live there... is that ok?
