    Schools where I live, Kentucky, have armed police officers assigned to the school. Perhaps this would be better than having teachers, who make 20-30k/year and many generally dislike the stresses involved with the jobs, carry concealed firearms?

    Perhaps the cheapest laptop LCD screens are being sold at a loss, and the desktop ones are sold at a high profit?

    No more of an art to good programming than there is to good science, or good engineering. I'd say that they're all artists in their own ways; equally creative solutions have to be used in all fields. Hell, I'd even say that a good manager has to be something of an artist to do his job well.

    Programing is more of a science than an art. Theres a right answer for a given problem that can be expressed in more ways than one. In art there is no correct answer ever; in science and computers the product has to actually work.

    First off, most of the people in the WTC got out. Second, lets say that your corporate headquarters was hit by something else; like say, a Tornado, or a Huricane, or an Earthquake (nothing is retrofitted for earth quakes east of the mississippi; when that fault goes us east coasters are screwed).

    Problem is that you're not going to be talking about ohm's law in middle school. Middle school science was, if I recall, very broad stuff such as "an atom is composed of positively charged protons, neutral neutrons and negatively charged electrons." In high school you start talking about valence electrons and ions and your basic chemistry stuff; molar mass, percent yield, balancing equations, etc.

    For instance, in physics class you could start off talking about how wrong most everything out of hollywood is...

    Power attorney isn't usually assigned to someone that practices law; its usually assigned to someone that is either a very close blood relative, or a friend that has been known for decades or such a thing.

    And anyway, "Especially if the person is living well otherwise." You can't experience anything if you don't remember, correct? I mean, the only way I know what I'm going to type is by using short term memory. It would appear that all our experiences are experienced through a memory buffer. Other wise we might as well not have existed simply because we can't remember...

    I'm not sure what punk your normally listen to, but what I always hear, inlucding mainstream and local is a few kids learn 3 basic cords and how to beat on a drum and call it a lifestyle. Most punk is utter crap, with a few exceptions.

    True. Its annoying to listen to a lot of the current popular music if you have any background in music... its as if somebody just deleted everything except simple major chords from the general public. I mean, hows about something minor? Or some weird keys or something... (Hell will freeze before a pop group plays something in E Major)

    Bob and Sally (two puppets) are in a room. Sally has a ball. Sally puts her ball in a box, and goes outside to play. Bob takes Sally's ball out of the box, and puts it in a basket across the room. Sally comes back inside, and wants her ball. Where does she look for it first?
    Depending on age of the child; couldn't this also be used as a test for determining whether a child has an older brother?

    They were going to be in STIII too but the enemies got changed to the Klingons. One of the two races must have crashed at Roswell and is the source for military black technology including the cloaking device that is currently standard on stealth aircraft that we don't know about. :)
