I won't need anything else. I wish "Search Engines" was a catagory so I could uncheck it and ignore all search engine news. I've got 1 and 2. I'm done.
If radio, light, et. al. is not destroyed, since it IS transformed into one kind of radiation, does that mean it is copied? If so, couldn't the DMCA be used to stop it? Fucking black holes... no wonder CD sales are down.
If the New York Times wants me e-mail to register, for example, I open their "Contact Us" page in a tab, I see they have an e-mail address executive-editor@nytimes.com and I use that. Let them spam themselves:) I do this with any site that wants my e-mail.

Now go and keep your 3rd party hardware firewall + 3rd party software firewall (on EVERY box, of course) up and running.
HARDWARE:
- Cheap Linksys box: Ugg but better than nothing. - Cheap Netgear box: Better. - Expensive Nethear box: Very nice IMO, around $300 USD with 802.11g too. - *BSD Box you build yourself: Awesome, but too geeky, if you have life+job and want somehting to plug in and forget, buy a firewall appliance. - Very Expensive Cisco/Bay Networks: The one you stole from the NOC on your last job as any good BOFH would do: Best.
SOFTWARE
-Free Zone Alarm: Ugg but better than nothing. -Sygate Personal Firewall Pro: VERY VERY nice IMO around $50 - *BSD/*nix s/w: Aso very geeky, better know your shit or else. Stick with vendor stuff to mostly install and forget.
BRILLIANT! Seriously! I'm not being sarcastic... brilliant idea. I'm on the road a LOT being self employed, so I can pump 5 or 10 gal at a time, don't need to top it off 'cause I'm at stations a lot. Can't wait to get my extra 1-10%:)
Yeah because cutting off a site's primary revenue stream
You voted for Bush, didn't you. Ok... I'll type slow so you can read this...
I am NOT going to click on the banner add regardless of its content. So how does hiding it cut revenue, when that potential revenue from me, in a best case scenario, is zero?
Am I the only one to find it hilarious that at the top of the page there was a Flash ad for an ATI Radeon X800?
Yes, because you are the only one not using Flash Blocker or AdBlock in your Moz/Firefox. *rolls up newspaper and lightly smacks you on head* "Bad web surfer! Bad!"
I know two people that saw the amazing usability and ease-of-use of iTunes, asked me what the "good thing was that is different about iTunes" and over lunch I explained that there is a thing called a GUI and a science about "Usability". Things clicked. They went to the apple store on their own and two Powerbooks were sold. Their dell boxes are on ebay.
Just get a cheap palm ($149 USD gets you a color screen now-a-days!) and use the todo list in it. Hotsync to backup or use the Palm Desktop also, with a UI somewhat similar to the palm. Super simple and super powerfull at the same time.
With these two...

Thank you for the 10 minute laugh I just had :)
I hate it when anything software tries to "predict". I don't want it. Please make sure it has an OFF button. Seriously. Thank you.
I steal hardware. Not my fault XP was on the drive.

Shit... doesn't even need to be *your* wife for this plan to work!
By "develop" they mean "tighten DRM integration" and "more .NET". Everyone keep your Moz and Firefox, and move along. Nothing to see here.

Yes. Give 'em 10 or 15 years of slow and steady change, all in the name of "artists" and "fighting terror".
