I don't know about this Roomba, but IIRC most vacuum cleaners generate a pretty powerful magnetic field. Might not be the best thing to strap a Tablet PC to...
That's a good, but disproven point. My box is sitting right next to where I keep the vacume and other odds and ends, and I have no problems. Even when I turn the vacume on, like right now, there is no interuPT3@$^@%ATH0H0++[NO CARRIER]
I browse EVERYTHING, including Slashdot, via the PDA links, on my PC. I beg of you to do the same.
Even though I have a 3.2 GHz box with 2 gigs of RAM and a ATI 9800 TX with 256 mb RAM... yes, Battlefield is awesome at 6xAA, 1200x1000, at ~110 FPS:) back on topic... I will always browse the web using the PDA links if available.
IT'S NOTHING SHORT OF AWESOME. All my sites load instantly, no adverts or maybe just one, and everything is plain text with links underlined, and only a picture or two of whats really relevant. And when I do browse the web on my Treo 600, I see the exact same thing. Lean and mean and consistent.
Here are some links... enjoy!

Very good point. And love the link to the pic. I think you have "clamped down" and got a good "grip" on another way to defeat the alarm. With the vice grip, you would have a second of sound followed by permanent silence. OF course, buy a few alarms yourself and practice destroying them quickly, where to squeeze it, etc, and you're set.
A SERIOUS, EASY WAY TO DEFEAT...

I've seen this done easily with motion detectors like this one all the time.
1) Slip Zip-Lock under and around alarm.
2) Poor some water into bag, just enough to cover alarm.
3) Enjoy laptop.
You would be surprised just how easyily a lot of electonics are defeated with water. Nice idea, but it needs to be made water proof/resistant.
Ever heard of OnStar? It's got GPS, and can therefore report whether you're speeding, and yet it's not abused in the way you suggest it would be.
At one point, the Berlin Wall was only ONE BRICK! Not very bad when it's only one brick. But that become 2, then 3, then a taker of liberty, than the USA PAtriot Act, then children arrested for copying some music, then... oh boy... that was one bad brick!
Bullshit marketing from MS. Remember Windows NT? Didn't it START at version 3.5? What happened to Windows NT 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0?
Hitler also followed this numbering scheme. He started numbering his troops at something like 10,000 to make the first recruits think there were many before them.
...five girls start playing counter-strike and suddenly the World Of Gaming is shaken to the core? Reminds me of a few years ago here in the US when we had 2 latin artists who were selling lots of records and every piece of news you could get your hands on called it a "Lanin Craze!"
I think it's all good and well. I like games. I like girls. Let's all play. But it is not exactly groundbreaking, is it? Girls have been playing games, in good numbers, since Nintendo first came out.
When all this "We Will Keep the Terrorists Away(TM)" technology becomes really cheap, we will enjoy a future where:
All transactions are electronic. Think "Credits" in "Total Recall".
All movement is scanned. Think eye scanning in "Minority Report".
All new information is copyrighted, and DRM free info is exchanged amongs the population like drugs are today. Think "Matrix" where Neo gets his little disks for cash, before he goes and follows the White Rabbit.
All information is put together in a database, where the Government can search it at will, without a warrent. Think "198..." scratch that. Think "2004", TIA project, Echelon, Patriot Act I, Patriot Act II, Patriot Act III (comming soon to a Democracy near you) et. al.
My R0mbu0 RAM works f1aw1ess01. I wi10 the go01vernment would lay 0ff Ramb0us. THey m1ight have been a bit pa01tent mad ear101ly on, but it was not because they failed to make a good product. The00101110ir RAM works very, v10ery fast and I love it100110. I on0ly use Ram1001bus RAM in my b0010x.
Combine the coverage maps of AT&T and Cingular, include that fact that they are GSM and the two are the best at offering bluetooth phones, and here in the US(TM) we finally have a chance at being almost "Europe-Like" when it comes to phones.
Because so far, the phones here are mostly CDMA or PCS crap, years behind Yurop, and don't have bluetooth. Hell, Sprint even toughts SMS as something new and exciting. Yeah, so is my color TV by their standards.
I rate this deal DoublePlusGood! Hopefully the rumored Apple PDA we are going to see in June of this year will include a phone that is GSM. WOOT!

Thanks for all the hard word, Firebird team! I can't wait to get my hands on the new browser.
