If it's anything like Spore or other recent EA games then I guess I will have to stay away. They have been so crazy with DRM lately that it's just not worth bothering with.

Shouldn't you be comparing the Euro to the Yen? Nintendo is a Japanese company.
I haven't read that part anywhere. How did they come up with the list of people to raid? In the one link it mentioned Canada, so did they seize a list of customers from a Canadian company? I'd like to know how they decided who to raid and how they knew the people they went after had bought chips.

It's only a matter of time before we get a 1.8 Windows Live Gold support
That whole "Everything that runs on it must be approved by MS and meet their platform specifications" thing you mention about Xbox and what runs on it? Well, that's Games For Windows now on the PC. MS has put out a whole set of specifications that developers need to support in order to get the tag. No tag? Less advertisement, less official support, maybe less shelf space on the stores. I bet PC Windows Xbox Live (whatever) support will be added onto the list of things games need to offer in order to be officially tagged with the logo.
Have you guys read Snow Crash? If not go get it right now. It's exactly this. A novel well before it's time, hell, it was the book that started using the word Avatar as meaning your online self. "Games" like Second Life are all trying to emulate the Metaverse the way it was put in print in this book. This is just another example the road the online world is taking, and if you read Snow Crash you'll pretty much know where and what the end of that road is.
Anyone here ever swim with Stingrays?

My girlfriend and I swam with the stingrays in the Cayman Islands. It's pretty much the thing to do when you're down there and there is a whole industry built around it. Never thought anyone could get hurt doing it. We touched them, let them swim all over you, and fed them, as do thousands of other tourists. They seemed docile, friendly, and glad that we were there.
Pretty crazy that he went out doing something so many other people do every day.
I am not sure if Ubisoft ever did anything about it but the problem was so serious that you could not even beat the game if you did not download the unofficial patch to fix it. It's a PC error and I encountered it during my playthrough.
The fact that Ubisoft released a game so broken it was actually unplayable and then never bothered to fix it, had to rely off of a fan created patch, a bad taste was left in my mouth for this company.
Is it even safe to share WiFi any more?

I keep my WiFi locked down tight, when I'm not home I turn off the WiFi of my router and unscrew the antenna.
Why?
I don't want to be sued. If someone jumps on my connection, gets a million mp3s, downloads movies, and shares copies of everything I'll have the MPAA and RIAA all over me. If they don't care when an old grandmother doesn't even have a computer or an internet connection they'll be sure to sue me who has both, even if it's not me getting the files.
The USA is the most dangerous place in the world to have an open WiFi connection. This whole FON movement is just giving the lawyer wolves a whole new pack of clueless sheep to sue.
When I play games it's usually late at night when I have nothing at all to do besides lay on the couch under a blanket. Since I have wireless controllers I put them under the blanket as well and its just my head popping out so I can see the TV. Summer time its the same scene sans blanket, but the point is that I am moving as little as possible and just like to lay there.
With the Wii, the games will most likely be awesome but I can't see myself playing them really late at night when I am about to go to sleep.
Even though everyone is complaining about this the fact is that if people buy it then the experiment worked.
If people feel that it's a horrible thing by the developers to do and protest by not buying it then things like this wont happen, but, if people complain and buy it anyway then we'll see more and more things like this. Bitching on a message board wont change a thing if they profit off of the idea.

The NES, SNES, Genesis, Atari, Game Boy, etc.
None of them have parental controls. Does that mean selling classic systems is illegal? Or do the old ones get grandfathered in?

Remember the early shots of the Wii that were in color back at E3 a while ago?
Yeah, who wants to bet that will be one of the 'upgrades'? Every Nintendo thing has come in multiple colors, I don't see them stopping that now.
The topic was lauding the 360's and Dreamcast's ease of support, not the PS3. Re-read the sentence again.

And you are right, that level is amazing all the way until the very end, it gives me chills.
Made this to celebrate Halloween

You can buy it on eBay cheap, well, at least the DVD version, but it does come with 3d glasses.
