Can you radio experts help me out on this one? Why do mp3 players never have an AM tuner? Always FM only, but most talk radio comes in AM, it seems only natural that they would include this. What's the holdup.
Lets face it, people don't want to organize links. The only thing they want is to find what they are looking for. The one that does that the best is the best engine. The one that finds exactly what you're looking for every time. THIS is the next generation search engine.
So what is the greatest full-length anime film ever made? Ghost In the Shell? Akira? Metropolis? Spirited Away? Wings of Honneamise? Anywone Know? I always figured it was Akira, but that's just me.
I watch a lot of horror movies which simply don't bother me. But i remember being totally horrified while watching the wormhole sequence in Contact, in the theater. Probably the most supsence any movie has put me in ever. But maybe it was just me.
After my DSL internet service wen't out, I've had the privelage of being tortured by the wonders of the AOL Client Software version 9.0. That free trial disc that says you don't need a credit card even though you do. Anyway, it's just as bad as it always was just with prettier colors. Kills the system resources for no reason, non responsive (especially for sign off). constantly wants you to download a lenghty update. constanly annoys you with stupid ads every second it gets. And then puts like 10 icons on the desktop of totally worthless applications.
Anyway i never really had a problem with AIM. In fact, that rate a buddy thing is fairly damn amusing as well as other things. But just thinking about how bad an experience AOL is (at least with dial up), how long can AIM last before it really is useless (as the article calls it)?
#1 Why is katie.com such a great name. I suggest the name katie911 would have made more sense.
#2 According to article, There was a tv show about a love relationship between a 40 year old and a 13 year old? wtf?
#3 Why doesn't Katie Couric sue over Katie.com since her name was stolen too. She's more popular than this girl.
This article, written in 1999, predicted 10% of the desktop in 2000 (which never happened), 40% of the desktop in 2001 (which never happened), and market saturation in 2002. So reality is somewhere inbetween Microsoft being write, and this article being totally wrong?
I'm a Kurosawa fan myself. I just want to clear things up. I've been hearing a lot about the origional Star Wars "ripping off" Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress. The article says the entire story was lifted from that movie. Have any of you seen the Hidden Fortress? Sure Lucas was inspired by that movie, but Star Wars is nothing like The Hidden Fortress.
As far as the article. I agree that Hayden Christensen is terrible as Dart Vadar. As well as most of his other points, especially the typical overuse of cgi effects which made me feel as if i was watching an videogame cut-scene the whole time. But one that he forgot to mention is the unbelievably forgetable characters who populate the script.
In a quest for more clicks, and to get rid of the middleman, penis enlargement firms begin hiring paid clickers on site.
Mr. Smith from ManGro Technologies explains, "Since the clicks will be coming directly from our own servers we save on bandwidth, and at the same time oversee the entire clicking process, effectively paying substantially less for each click".
According to industry estimates, 1 out of 100 clicks is a buy. "Basically Increasing clicks, means increasing business.", Mr. Smith adds, "As well as the size of your penis."
According to the BBC, the research has already been successfully performed on mice, and clinical trials on humans should begin within two years.
With all these advancements we keep performing on mice (mice with human breasts and gigantic ears. Mice that can control things with their mind and are cancer proof...Mice that produce sperm for monkeys, mice that glow in the dark, etc...), it's only a matter of time before we build a renegade breed of super-supergenius mice who become our leaders and take over the world.
I'm no expert, and it doesn't mention walking in the article, but I wonder if one will be able to walk using a system like this since the impulses from the nerve endings in the legs will never be sent back into the brain. It's kinda like trying to walk without being able to feel your legs. I doubt I could do it.
In the end, it may come down to having extensive library support weather this language gets any attention or not. Without having easy to use, easily availiable libraries for sound, graphics, networking etc..., along with support examples and help with the libraries, it may not be worth using the language at all. Sure you can import C/C++ based libraries, but this will all be unmanaged C/C++ code and not protected D code with all the bennifits of D.
And while their at it, have them eat 11 cups of soil and rocks. And if they curl up and die, it shall be concluded that the earth itself is not enviromentally safe. And that we should stop trying to save it.

Let's see. 1. It's a Sci-Fi Movie. 2. It's not a sequal or a remake. And 3. It's not Star Trek!
Wow, they should make more of these!
South Koreans and Swedes watching high-definition soap-operas via 100Mbps connections
And here I am, watching high-definition popup advertisements via 32 Kbps aol dialup. Like a sucker.
But some mathematicians are trying to prove that there's really no difference between 'hard' and 'not hard' problems
Well, it's always better to have the hard problem. You may have to seek medical attention, but at least your pride remains intact.

Uh, isn't a copy supposed to actually resemble the origional?

No, we are slaves to the programers who program the software that runs on our machines.
Enough said.
