I cannot agree more. Ever notice how some of the really good games are hard to find in the used market? Take Ico for an example. A new copy is hard to find in Sydney, let alone a used copy.
One thing I find is that as I get older, I play less FPS online. Getting 0wn3d by 14 years old is no fun:( I also like to play games that let you save WHENEVER you want.
Agreed. This situation is even worse in Australia. One interesting thing though, GCN version of the same game is generally cheaper for some unknown reasons, e.g. Need For Speed:Most Wanted is $AUD20 cheaper than on the PS2 version.
Australia is even worse:( Now the good news, there is no zoning for GBA games:) So you can buy games from anywhere in the world and they will work. I bought my micro in Japan but my games in Australia. They work perfectly. So shop on the net:)
Final Fantasy I, II and IV on GBA/micro/DS. The best thing is you can save ANY time outside a battle or story screen! I play it on my micro on the train and it is great since you dont have to listen to it:)
I think that is what I find unique about the series - no one, I mean no one, is safe. Everytime I think I know what will happen next, someone get hurt/maimed/killed. And characters are not as black and white as you may think. It is an interesting read.
Why cant they release the paperback version at the same time?
I think I can count on one hand the number of new "popular" songs that I remember listening to. The songs are so bad that either I cannot stand listening to it or I listened to it and promptly forget about it.
Us down in Australia are FORCED to wait. We won't even get the XBox360 until March 2006! Not that it is a big deal. I have back log of games to play on the current consoles anway. I agree with what you said though - sounds like the Revolution is only console that is "different". Can you imagine playing all those funky party games in Mario Party with the new controllers?:)
I have purchased CD that does NOT come with lyrics before. I also use lyrics to learn other langauges. If I have the CD and rip it for my iPod, why should it be illegal for me to find the lyrics online and put it onto my iPod as well?
This is one attitude that I do not understand. Yes, this will solve the problem but when I buy a new computer or more memory, I want a FASTER and more powerful machine.
If the memory usage is low, then I can run more applications with the same spec!
Safety? Have you seen the show? Adam regularly get injured:), like the time he put his lips too close to a vaccum cleaner motor, or the burnt eyebrows...
I have to agree. What about if I want to lend a game to a friend? If it comes to this, I will just start playing old games. Hell, I still playing Doom 2:) and Civ4 and Total War will last me a long while.
Of course they will be. Rather TV on mobile is already available in Japan and the 3 network in Australia is going to broadcast cricket matches on their mobile network for $AUD8 a month.
I think the technology is already available and it is now a matter of demand. In Japan, most people catch trains to work and it is not uncommon for someone to spend over 2 hours on the train a day. It makes sense to watch TV on one's mobile while on the train. Coupled this with the high population density, it is a natural progression.
This is not quite true. Japan does not use GSM either but uses PSN and CDMA. I think this has to do with the dense population. TV on mobile is already a reality in Japan.
I actually felt it explains everything fairly well. I have not seen the TV series before watching the movie. I came out rushing to buy the TV series on the DVD. I just hope he will get a chance to make it second series to extend the story - there seems to be so much potential there.
Truer than you may think :)

Does anyone know an applicatioin that handles songs that are not in English? e.g. Chinese or Japanese.

Exactly the point I want to make.

James Squire is great :) especially the IPA.
If you are in Sydney, then you should check out the James Squire Brewery House.
I agree about the characters. They are definitely not one dimensional (the Dog and the KingSlayer). It is also interesting how they change (Catelyn).
:)
I find paperback much easier to read while commuting. And I like my books the same size so they stack nicely on the shelf, or on the floor

This patch works like a miracle. The guy who wrote it, Harkonnen, frequents the civfanatic forum.

Agreed! With the help of a scanner, the hand drawn diagram can become the first draft of the design document as well.

This is also happening at the train stations in Sydney, Australia. The only problem is people just leave them behind on the train.

I think the small size is a bonus. :)
What I really like is the old famicom face plate - it reminds me of all the old game and watch games
