I think the reason is that PlayStation always have more games available than N64/GCN. I love my GCN but there are games that make me get a PS2 (katamari damacy, FF series, GT series, Resident Evil, God of War etc).
At least you get iTMS, I don't even have that in Australia. I really think all this DVD region coding and pricing is hurting the companies then helping them.
Every second on the train has one. I am talking high school kids, university students, people going to work. Apple, go ahead and release iTMS Australia and make Sony to beg to join.
This situation is just ridiculous. This is one of the main reason I don't mind CD from shops anymore. The shops do not have the stuff I want and I get the CD from online shops cheaper.
What about songs that are not distributed locally? I live in Australia and it is next to impossible to get Japanese music. I would pay to use iTMS if it will let me buy songs from other countries.
While I love Nitendo (I own all the iterations of consoles...), I really wish it has more games outside of Japan. It is very sad to see all the games that are available in Japan but are never ported to PAL format. I just hope the next generation of console is not region coded.
The best thing is that the games have appeal to adults too. Games like Mario Karts and Mario Party are perfect to play as a family. And when the kids are off to bed, it is time to put in Eternal Darkness or Metroid Prime.
I found this out the hard way when I was over there a few months ago. However, I somehow retained a mental copy of the tube map after a few days so I dont even need to consult it much:) And what is with the Bank station? It takes ages to change line there....
I know when they are handy. I recently put together a new machine with only a SATA HDD. Put the W2K CD to install the OS. It will only read the floppy drive for the drivers! WTF?!
There is a similar case in Victoria, Australia. You can find more details here or here.

I think there are a few factors: 1. If the company is using a paid for IDE, it is unlikely to change. This is especially true in a large company. 2. If you are relatively happy with the IDE you are using, you will not go and look for a new one. 3. There is usually not enough time to keep up to date with stuff.
The only reason that I am aware of Eclipse is because a collegue brought my attention of it, and the only reason I follow its development is because we are all using it now. I certainly cannot tell you what JDeveloper or NetBean is up to.

You will be surprised. I have been interviewing several persons recently. None of them use or know what Eclipse is.
I think part of the problem is they expect Americans to be rude (sadly we have this reputation just about world-wide).
I will give you an example as to why. Me and my wife were visiting in Amsterdam recently. First time we have been there, so we decided to ride on the boats in the canals. These canal boats have benches facing forward and back, across a table and each bench can seat 3 quite comfortably.
So we got on and the boat was pretty packed. We saw this middle age American couple sitting on one of the bench. So I asked them nicely if they can move in a bit so my wife can sit down. The woman just glared at us and told us to go away.
You tell me why people expect Americans to be rude.
I agree with this. I read and buy a lot of manga and Naruto is currently one of the best running series. I download the scans when it is available because I do not have to wait (there is usually a period of 2-3 months between the manga is published in Jump and it is released as books). Similarly, I have been downloading the anime but I will buy the DVD when it is available.
One thing the reviewer did not mention is the brawls between the characters when you loiter in the parking lot.
After you unlocked enough characters, the fun starts. I have seen Darth Maul being hammered by Obi-Wan and Anakin. I have also seen Padme got killed when Darth Maul reflected the blaster shots back at her. Words cannot describe the hilarity watching these Lego characters fight each other.
Personally, I think the games are GCN strong point.
Whenever I have friends over for a drink, we play GCN the most. With 4 controllers, games like Mario Kart and Mario Party means hours of fun. The games are simple and interesting looking enough that my wife and her girlfriends are willing to join in. Too bad it does not have a decent FPS like GoldenEye or Perfect Dark.
I went and see it too (Thank you, Dendy!). I find it pretty entertaining and I found the graphic of all the steam machines quite impressive - cannot say the same for the human characters though. The plot is really no worse than many of the Hollywood movie.
What this says about us is that we do not have decent local TV productions and coverages. For example, we have next to nothing soccer coverage. If I want to watch a match (the Football for Hope match) for example, I have to download it.
Absolutely! The best thing is that each prefecture you visit, the soup base and ingredient is slightly different. For example, in Kyushuu, the soup base is usually made from pork bone instead of miso. Kisumen in Kyoto is interesting too.
In Australia, Mountain Dew has no caffeine as well :(

Forgot where I read this from: "Daughters are God's punishment for a man who had sown his wild oats".
Nice post. :)
Do you know any good links about using JScript in WSH? The main problem that I found is the lack of documentation.
The trick is to figure out if you are being monitored or not. Has that law been passed? Last I heard, it was only a proposal.

The idea how the second player can join in and drop out is a great feature. I wish more games will adopt it.
