    I'm sorry, don't they collect every penny of the "Universal connectivity charge" back from their customers (us) thereby making it a backhanded tax?

    So, the FCC has stopped paying out- Yet it's still on my cell bill, where are the funds piling up? the FCC coffers? or the telco?

    fwiw, I have no problem subsidizing a telephone to a city of 200 in W VA that can't run at a profit.

    I can watch it in house, and my mom can watch from north carolina, and other family & friends can watch from over seas!


    newer models allow for ten streams, not sure if IE explorer is still a requirement..

    it records video and takes stills for the viewer, has pan/tilt options, large frame sizes, in house we get a very good video in 640X480.. it's great..

    it can be a MAJOR BITCH to enforce but your bank has to give you the same protections on a visa debit card, as a visa credit card, not as a matter of law, (which requires you pay the first 50$) but their contracts with visa..

    see the visa's zero liability policy The Zero Liability policy covers all Visa credit and debit card transactions processed over the Visa network--online or off. The only transactions not covered under the Zero Liability policy are commercial card, ATM, and non-Visa-branded PIN transactions.

    If your bank won't treat it as such, you can write Visa, and they'll work on it.

    Not from their point of view. It's a too obvious a form of censorship. They want to maintain the illusion of freedom as much as possible. That's why they don't want Google listing these banned pages to begin with; it makes the censorship more obvious.

    Yes, now imagine google refusing to self-censor.
    by doing so, they support china's actions..

    your computer telling your tivo to erase it's entire harddrive, then record anime manga 3 at two am, because that's what the virus writer thinks you should watch, your vcr ejecting tapes, and your cd jukebox player snapping cd's in half by partilly loading them and then rotating..

    yes, the joys of a massively inter-connected motorized hardware would be ever so much more fun than a purely electronic non-motorized one..

    Um, my mom still has a tv that only goes up to channel 13..

    she uses a more modern vcr to actually change channels, and it transmits it all to ch 3.

    all those old fullsize tv's will not turn useless, you'll just need a cable box/tuner capable of output on old style analogue channel of choice..

    it will wreck OTA handheld useage, but how many handheld tv's have a life expectancy of 8 years?

    yes, and we have one at my work (a hotel)
    FWIW, it turns free floating aromatic particles into sticky solids... they blacken walls.. don't want to think about what it would do to inside cases.
