I have never had a problem with expose or any other Apple program on my 600mhz iBook. However, the Cisco VPN software is really buggy in 10.3b and I have had 2 system crashes pre update (1 crash toasted a few files on the harddrive). I talked to the local Apple rep about 10.3, he said they are still very much in the development process and that Apple know how buggy this release is. He also said they expect it to ship by the end of the year, so being about 5 months away from ship date, you can't really expect much in the way of stability.
That is crap, you shouldn't rely on luck for quality. You have to put the time in and do the work.
Of course I don't believe 3D Realms stratagy on DNF is good for their bottom line. But you have to respect them for trying to innovate. However, I think the fact that it has taken them so long says more about the FPS genre then it does about 3D Realms.
Why not do away with entertainment purchases for a year to see how much of an impact we can make? Are we too addicted to their drug to do this?
I already do this, I don't watch TV (no cable), I don't buy CDs, I don't go to the movies, and I don't buy DVDs. The only thing I do is listen to the radio. And you know what? I feel I am better for it. I have more money now and more importantly I have more time to be with my friends and family and to spend being active out doors. I love it!
Makes me wonder if the record company executives slept through Econ 101 in college?
Hmm I think they took Econ 102, which states if you and your competitors conspire to fix prices, you can charge what ever you all agree on, and you dont have to worry about things like competition which tends to bring prices down. It also helps to be in a industry that requires a HUGE amount of capital to even begin a start up.
Of course, I believe they would make more money if they lowered the prices so more people would buy cds at a lower price. hmm let me see, I haven't bought a cd since 1996, if I could get a cd for around $8-$10, I would probably buy 1-2 a month.
blah... bad spell checker, bad! stop changing the meaning of what I say. Damn, thats what happens when you post right before taking off of work for the week end.
It is (or was) the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile treaty. GWB pulled out of the treaty in December of 2001 (here) in order to build the National Missile Defense. So putting lasers on 747s is all good. Unilateralism rules! I am going to put a laser on my car so I can protect the US against terrorist and rouge nations.

It is not the business model, it is that the game just sucks. MMORPGs like everquest and doac are making a killing using the same business model because their games are mildly interesting.
well, if you are in the Hollywood or TV studio biz and you are doing digial editing on your Mac, you want to make sure the digital copy protection isn't going to keep you from working on/copying/distributing/etc your own work.
Do you mean Google Zeitgeist? I don't know If I could consider that the authority on Apple market share, but it's better then IDG. If you are going to believe Google then Apple market share has stayed steady at 4%.
Exactly, that is what it says above; "Safari deletes/tmp, which is a link to/private/tmp." The problem IS that the link is deleted. Not hard to fix (if you know how to use the CLI), but annoying.
I hear that there are these things called clubs. From what I understand lots of local performer play music there. If you live in a big town, they probably clubs that play just one type of music, even one type that you maybe interested in. Some of the people even sell cds of their work or let you record it for FREE.
But I have only heard of these things cause I am chained to this computer:(
The you would have known that it is not a hidden image, it is on the members home screen with the text underneath:
"Enjoy access to you key contact infomation anywhere. Your online.Mac Address Book will soon work with iSync so you can have all your key contact information, including addresses and phone numbers up to day. A great feature when you are on the road."
Too bad i can already do this with my iPod.
hmm by the choice of non-stories slashdot posts about Apple, it would be nice to have a Mac person working for slashdot. I'll volunteer:)
And until I can pay my bills over the Internet, it wouldn't be a substitute for me either.
I have an account with Bank of America (yeah, I agree the suck for the most part, but convience of ATM and good online bill pay is worth it), and with direct deposit I get free online bill pay. I pay all my bills via the Internet, the service works find with Mozilla.
How about using the weather a new weapon? Why not send a hurricane, tornado, and floods to Iraq? What about Hail storms with basketball sized chunks of ice? America could finally get rid of all the evil on earth with out starting one war!
but imagine if the terriorist got ahold of this technology? Oh my! We must fully develop and exploit this technology before the evil terrorist. Then we can sit back and start a huge database containing everyones credit card purchases. Damn, I love America.
This sounds like another addiction most people have, watching too much TV. I am sure lots of the people here who are flaming this guy have passed up or avoided social interaction to instead watch their favorite show on TV.
At least everquest is only $15 a month, that is a lot cheaper then the typical cable bill.
Well, the first revisions of the Apple Ipod had a "break-out" game Easter Egg in them. It has since been added as a feature. Now I know Apple did not write all the software for the Ipod, PIXO and others worked on it too. I don't know if an Apple staffer added the game, but that is a recent example of a Apple product that had an Easter Egg.

I am using Expose on a G3 with no problems. As for mozilla, I don't know, with Safari I have no need to download mozilla.
Well, If my car ran out of gas in the middle of no where and I had only $10 and a choice between $10 in gas or $10 in beer, I'd be really drunk.
But quality also takes luck

You forget that they are talking about California, which GWB has no interest in.

And if another country tried to develop SSL certificate technology we would have to envade them. That could get messy.

... that must be because Google reduced SearchKing's pagerank, I think searchking should sue them.
