Since it's supposed to have old game download functionality anyway, bundling these two games is actually an incredibly smart idea. It WILL sell systems, and I hope Nintendo thinks up the same idea.
I don't know about the States, but here in Canada you can keep a prepaid phone active and rolling over minutes for $10 a month. Assuming this is also the case in the US, that means it only costs about $2.50 a week for the security of having a cell phone.
It does cost your provider money for you to be on the network (capacity for if you do need to use it, upkeep for the towers, customer service people in case you need to call in, etc... - you may say you don't care about these things because you'd almost never use them, but let's hear you rant if they're not there when you do), and your provider would probably like to make at least a little bit of profit off you as well. Otherwise, what's the point of being in business?
Even at 11-12 tracks per disc, that works out to about 850 cds worth of music. Go count the number of cds in your collection (trust me, there's more there than you think there is), and tell me that there aren't TONS of people out there that would (or would want to) own 850.
Perhaps you can tell me why they have a filter at the butt of the cigarette? At least YOU are inhaling filtered smoke, but what about the people around you? Inhaling the unfiltered smoke.
^Are you retarded?
A. From what I remember of the first episode of Enterprise, it did actually take longer than a few days to get to Q'onos. That would have been a pretty boring pilot if all they showed was people bumming around the ship on a long flight.
B. The Ferengi episode made the situation "tense" enough that Archer didn't really get a chance to ask who they were, likly assuming that the species where known to the Vulcans and he could look it up in the database later.
C. Who says they didn't have basic warp drive? The Vulcans were doing boring, routine science survey missions all the way in Earth's solar system when the first warp drive was tested here. They were obviously far more advanced.
The continuity isn't SUPPOSED to be the same. They've said on a number of occasions that this trek takes place in the slightly altered timeline created by First Contact.
I second the use of Magic Button. It makes the device infinitely more useable. It helps with performance, stability and battery life.
Exactly! Once Grandma sets up her new iMac, I'm sure that's the first thing she'll do.

No, the aren't. Songs and previews are both 128kbps AAC.

It comes with every new Apple computer.
"Did Apple suddenly create a magical algorithm that cut the size of a 30 minute show to less than a gigabyte, even if only at 320 x 320 resolution?"
Well, they didn't INVENT Mpeg-4....
Dude, there are parts of Canada that are further south than parts of California.

You still get that moment at the end of Episode III though, so it's not lost entirely.
It says "Mac OS X Tiger" right on the box.
What an excellent reason...

Do you know what sucks? The fact that making the best product possible isn't the best thing you can do for business.
