You can't just end a series on a cliffhanger like that without knowing what's going to happen, it'll kill us!! It'll be worse than the ending of Party of Five. :-(

On the plus side I'm looking forward to never having to watch UPN again. UPN will be as worthless as the WB network and probably devolve into showing nothing but african-american targetted sitcoms like Moesha.

You know, it's amazing that this company stays in business. I definitely will be buying a Mac for my next desktop (already have an iBook) and as long as Apple doesn't implement similar "activation" crap in their OS I will continue to be a fan of OS X.

The sad thing is I have several legitimate copies of Windows XP Pro at home that activated on the hardware and this kind of crap makes me feel like a criminal if I do something crazy like have to replace a motherboard or upgrade my RAM or CPU. Frankly I don't need Microsoft deciding when or where my operating system should stop working because they consider my upgraded computer an entirely new system. Screw that. I'll spend $2000 and buy a Mac before I spend $200 on another fscking copy of Windows XP Pro for an upgraded system.

That's something I've always been amazed the average TiVo user doesn't have a problem with, especially those here at Slashdot. You're paying a monthly service fee and on top of that, agreeing to let some company monitor your usage. You KNOW this is happening because TiVo could give exact statistics on how many people rewound and paused on Janet Jackson's breast last year. Either make it a pay service and respect people's privacy by not gathering statistics or support if via selling those statistics and providing the service for free... not both. I'm sure the TiVo apologists will emerge soon to defend their baby to the death. They're worse than Amiga and Mac zealots.

Other than being able to record digital pay channels without needing an IR blaster the thing was basically useless. It crashed constantly and was nothing more than a glorified VCR.
