    I'm not Joe, but if all other factors were equal - this would be enough to sway me to them... But of course, it's almost moot - since I use Apple OSX... But I do have some Linux boxes that could run on them...

    However - they WILL have to spin it well enough, or better than the "Megahertz Myth" because that didn't work too well for average folks. BestBuy salesmen don't know how to explain "AMD Athlon 289456++XL 3400 MP SSE4 +-7200 BufferXTreme" so they just push intel...

    Actually, I see several bugs fixed every day just about in Camino nightlies.... They are progressing nicely, I think... :)

    What are those sites? Help the developers improve Mozilla, and help the websites support more browsers... If we don't know which sites cause problems, they can't be fixed, right?

    Actually, I do... My TV, Stereo, and GC are all on an UPS - and I have played Metroid Prime through several small power interruptions.... :) By my calculations - I have about 45 minutes backup power with those components, more and less depending on what else I turn on obviously...

    The other major life-limiting feature on Spirit and Opportunity are the batteries. They can't be cycled indefinitely.

    "But this one has a camera".

    No, I JUST WANT A FUCKING PHONE THAT WILL NOT DROP CALLS WHEN I CROSS UNDER A TREE AND WILL WORK INSIDE A BUILDING WITH WALLS THICKER THAN A PAPER BOX.

    "Sure, all our phones are good. But this one can download games!"

    Arrgh.

    Oh, and one that you can drop more than once would be nice too...

    We can get signals that are weaker than the interferance caused by a digital watch from Voyager who is a gazillion miles away - but we can't make a cell phone that will work in an elevator...

    Do you have any resources that help turn the knoppix install into a real install?

    I had Knoppix and used both of the methods that were recommended (there was a newer one that was supposedly better that I tried, when it didn't work I tried the older method).

    It booted off the hard drive just fine, but ran exactly like Knoppix on a CD. I need to use normal users, and not auto log in, and all that jazz - and I couldn't figure out how...

    I am using Fedora Core 1 right now, but I liked Knoppix.

    This was about two or three months ago, I don't remember the knoppix version off the top of my head without checking my disks at home...

    Some /lawyer will correct me if I am wrong, but this process could take a while.

    It would be nice if the Supreme court could just say - "that thing bites"*, and get rid of it all. But AFAIK IANAL - they only look at the things that have been challenged and the challenges made all the way to the Supreme Court...

    I had several game watches, ranging from ones that playes all sorts of non-descript games, to random space games. But I also had two different Pac-Man watches, one with buttons and one with a joystick. And I had a Q-Bert watch with buttons. I used to get in trouble for playing on them in Church...

    Sports. Ogg or MP3 or AAC won't help me listen to the game while I can't be at home or in the car...

    Talk radio. NPR and Community radio programs that can be quite interesting - but are time sensitive...

    Traffic/Weather. Kinda nice to hear the traffic / weather even before I get to my car or even leave the office.

    Got this reply from their (quick!) support: -- This should have been fixed so you can access the site. We made changes this morning in response to feedback such as yours. Have you tried it today. If so, please can you tell me what specific problems occured ? If you couldn't access the site at all, then I think it may have been because we were absolutley over run with traffic today. New hardware going in tomorrow should mean we can cope better with the demand. Hope this is helpful,
