Once a coin is flipped and then covered so that the outcome is not revealed the coin is in both states*. Heads or tails.
Of course I 'll leave it up to the astute reader to determine if heads means the cat dies or if tails does.

* of course if you are standing on the border facing north between California and Nevada it also depends if you are left or right handed to determine which state it lands.
From skimming the patent, it looks like they're patenting something vaguely like this:
<versions>
<version language='perl' interpreter='/usr/bin/perl'>
print("I am a banana!\n");
</version>
<version language='python' interpreter='/usr/bin/python'>
print 'I am a banana!'
</version>
</versions>
... in other words, using XML to keep several languages' versions of one script.
I don't really see the point.
The point is that this is basically what ASP.NET is based on. Also I would think this would also be important for XAML (Extensible Application Markup Language - pronounced zammel) they are developing for AVALON. Avalon is the code name for the presentation subsystem in "Longhorn."
And apparently you don't either. By sharing files, she allowed the Kazaa to publish her location and the files available. By sharing files, she immediately removed the cloak of anonimity
Here the solution: Add a file to your list called README or Copyright Notice. In it you say:
The following list of files are Copyright (C) 2003 [your name]. All rights reserved. You may not distribute this list to anyone without prior permission. You may not make any copies of this list in any form. Failure to comply will result in criminal and civil prosecution.
Actually thinking about this further you can get a whole year on 1 charge if you decide to use this device for only 1 min and 9 secs each day.....
....not too shabby.
I live in LA and the other day on the bus I saw a young man carrying a couple of DVDs. Being curious I read the titles. One of them was Matrix Reloaded. I was very surprised.
I mentioned this to a friend of mine and he tells me they have already been mastered and dupped.
As a side note someone else I know has a copy on VCD in english and the "translated english" subtitles are very very humerous.
As a young teen I remember how excite I was learnign a formula for dry rocket fuel. Basically gun powder.
I had a blast mixing this stuff and lighting it in my backyard.:-)
One day I decided to raid my chemistry set and adding random chemicals to the mix to see what would happen.
I remember learning how volatile sodium and potassium was so I mixed every chemical I had with these chemicals into the mix. Including NaCl. Damn fun times.
But let me also say because of the exlosion that happened I am very glad I am still here today.
They are also filming in Los Angeles. There is a church 2 blocks from my Apt which is is being worked on for the SpiderMan film. I know one of the architects working on the project.

Yes, it's true. I don't care how to create a proper.sig
Yes I can figure oout how the signature feature of slashdot works, but (and this might come as a big surprise to you) I don't really care.
You might have nothing better to do with your time but I have many many things I are more valuable to me to spend my time on. Things like: working, reading, spending time with my girlfriend, etc.
My suggestion for you is to get off the indentation you have in your couch, grab a shower, brush the cheetos off your shirt and get out of the house and get a life. But hey, what do I know? I can't even figure out how to use the signature function properly.

'tis true. I haven't looked up how to create a proper.sig
My guess is that they were waiting for some tools from Borland on the linux side.
Bioware's engine was written with Borland C++ Builder on Windows and they needed to use Kylix 3 which allows them to compile C/C++ code as well as Delphi. Disclaimer: I worked on the first couple of versions of Kylix when I used to work at Borland. That said, I just want to say it really is a great development environment and you should check it out if you haven't yet. They have an Enterprise Trial and an Open Edition which can be downloaded here.

Great book. It was during reading this book that I found out that a 64-bit code can be represented on a ring with 64 characters.

This is a bad thing. I saw a movie about this and believe me if this is allowed to happen the human race will be destroyed in a nuclear war.

Damn. I sure hope I remember what all this crap means.
I am the only one that find this mobile phone to be the ugliest ever developed?

Or in other words...
Sony rates the battery life at 30 days (about 1 month) with an ample 15 minutes of typical use per day.

Yeah....and btw your math is off.

Aren't they behind schedule? I thought they were supposed to do this on Sept 13, 1999.
Do use the Barnes & Noble link. I usually use Amazon but when I checked there I found their price to be somewhat inflated.
List Price of 49.99 at Amazon vs. 29.99 at B&N. I never noticed before but I'll be sure to double check next time before I buy a book online.
