  1. Re:Go Daddy vs Register.com on Go Daddy Usurps Network Solutions · · Score: 1

I went with Joker.com with my latest registrations. $12/year and very flexible with the tools they give you. You can create a joker.com account for free before actually registering anything with them to see what your control panel offers.

Way better than NetSol who I've used for a few years and paid way too much for what I got.

While joker.com may not be a saint, I've heard some complaints from people, they seem just fine for me. And I'd rather pay $12 to joker than $8 GoDaddy that has some underhanded practices or $27 to NetSol who just is gouging you.

However, CentOS is the one I'm going with for all but 3 servers which will remain RHES due to the ability to have someone to call/blame for the higher ups.

Amen. I enjoyed playing HL2, but the game really lacked a sense that you had any choise other than the single path you were led down. It was a graphically improved HL 1. I re-installed Blue Shift looking for a HL fix after and it's all there except the graphics are really dated.

Contrast that to Far Cry. It had the usual FPS objectives (get from a to b) but you could approach them from multiple ways. When talking to my friends on how we beat a level someone always did it diffent than others. I was expecting HL 2 to be like that and in that sense was disappointed.

HL 2 ending sucked as well.

Many Anime series run on TV sometimes just for one season (26 episode story arc). The companies then release them on DVD normally in 3-4 episodes per disc at a high price (ed. ripp-off). Popular shows might see the rights bought up for English versions. Either way, it's probably more an issue of having their shows traded around before they got around to selling the DVDs to the public including people not residing in Japan.

This program has been available for months and in fact is pretty useless. It gives you a real look at what the characters look like with no animations. If you pre-ordered EQ 2 before the American release you got it for free or just pick it up off a torrent site.

It really only takes just a few minutes to make a character so the idea of saving time before purchasing retail wasn't really a good excuse. In fact, any characters I created before hand I didn't even use.

It's nice that it's offically given away now and people don't have to feel like thieves for downloading it elsewhere.
