She did lose 2/3 of her votes when compared to previous elections tho'... And the decision is gonna be overturned in a higher court once the media companies make a couple of phonecalls...
...but this looks like the first step toward "exposing the fraud" of moon travel and officially declaring that man has never visited the moon. Oh the times when conspiracy theories start to make sense:(.
Weell, you know, if you go to war, you'd better have some weapons...they have loads of cash so they cannot be silenced with a simple threat of taking away their job.
Isn't this another case where the tool is demonized in stead of the user? There is nothing about these headphones that forces you to turn the volume up to 10 all the time (or 11, if you have the Spinal Tap model)! In fact, I have often wished I had earbud headphones. Why? So I could turn the volume down.
If you listen to music in a noisy environment, you should ask yourself: Do you really want to add more to that already almost deafening noise?
As for tinnitus, it's a real pain. My right ear has been ringing ever since I foolishly acted as the starter in a school athletics competition. Didn't have hearing protection on, still have tinnitus. The event was 19 years ago.
quote:So Giuliani *did* make a difference, in making what Bin Laden attempted to do less meaningful. Distructive, yes. Painful, yes. Did it make the US back down and do what he wanted? No.

What do you mean no? The American people have lost more freedom in a couple of years than they have gained in a hundred years. The Secret Police (Homeland "Security") listens to the calls, watches who they meet, where they travel, what books they borrow from the library. American citizens who photograph public buildings are dragged into police stations for hours and hours of interrogation without attorneys present or any kind of defense whatsoever. Election results are being tampered with. By uttering the magic word "terrorism" FBI can attack whoever they want. Their target cannot defend him/herself in any way, not even go public about the attack since that is against the law too.
Osama bin Laden did never even have wet dreams about such a success in destroying the American way of life and the freedom of all Americans. Republicans and the Bush regime have done his job better than he ever could.
puton_tinfoil_hat: What would then happen if the controller of these honeypots was to let a large software corporation inject the honeypots with information that a competitor's software is malicious? It would disable that software on every machine on the internet. Hows that for Mi..er...underhanded business practices? putoff_tinfoil_hat:
At first glance I thought to myself "wow, for once software is being tested sufficiently long and not just during the last two crunch weeks"... But what is a long testing period for an entire distribution? And what do/.ters think the right testing period is?
This illuminates another entry in the long list of American idiocies. Anybody can sue someone else for any ridiculous reason. The case can drag on for years without the plaintiff actually presenting any evidence whatsoever. What happened to the concept of a frivolous lawsuit?
"His software, called Osirix (OSS, BTW) enables medical professionals to view medical images on their iPods, saving them and the hospitals they work for thousands of dollars in expensive equipment."
How long will it take the medical equipment manufacturers to have this banned in the US? I give it less than a year.
"should paying people have a real scientific background or is money simply enough?"
Could be. As far as I have understood there are duties to be performed on a spaceflight that require no expertise and relatively little training. Those can be assigned to the "tourist" so freeing the professional crew to more demanding tasks.
Exactly. In Finland these organisations have, among other things, killed internet radio by having radio stations pay double fee for sending both by air and by the internet. How did this happen? They just made up the rule. Nobody in the government gave a peep. These organisations apparently have legistlative power as well. The main writer of the infamous copyright law is a member of the board of one of these organisations. I honestly don't know where the idea of Finland as a non-corrupt country comes from...
Don't remind me! I once worked in a paper mill. Standing between two "rolls" of paper lying on their side, each 10+ ft in diameter and 50+ feet long was not a plesant experience. If they were to roll over me...*splat*...
Another reason for why people don't buy CD's from stores is the pitiful quality of music available there. All they sell is the garbage the music industry churns out. Loads of cookiecutter "bands" and "artists" who have never written an original word or note. Add to that outrageous prices (because of the huge cut record companies take on each and every CD) and it's a small wonder business is slow. Back in the 80's when Compact Disc technology was introduced, the huge price hike was being defended with "the price will fall when the technology propagates". Now, after a quarter of a century, CD prices have not decreased once. Instead, they have been outrunning inflation 3:1 (conservative estimate). Record companies have dug themselves into a hole with raging profiteering and expect the courts to bail them out.
This telescope may have a better resolution than Hubble but it's on Earth. Will the atmospheric distortion (or whatever is the technical term) cancel out that benefit?
It is one thing to optimise your software for your processor. It is another thing to deliberately counteroptimise (is that a word?) your software for your competitors processor. It's not your fault if their processor isn't compatible with your code. But it is your fault if your code is deliberately incompatible with their processor, because thereby you illegally limit the choice of your customer who buys the software.
Only, majority of Americans never voted for Bush. Republicans have now committed gross election fraud in 2 successive presidential elections. The Democrats are guilty of treason for not even attempting to correct the election results falsified by the Republicans.

"He (a previous school shooting perpetrator) had created maps for Counter Strike, but nothing even vaguely related."
:D
Well, considering how hard Valve Hammer Editor is to understand, I'm not surprised he went of the deep end.
...did the (US) group mention (US-made) X-Box 360 in any way? Or does X-Box 360 lack this functionality?
In other words, eugenics and misogynistic pseudo-research is banned and rightly so.

I was being sarcastic, you know?
Talent? As in people with a white skin and a US passport?
Carly Fiorina saved HP but she had to go for one obvious reason. There was something missing between her legs. And I mean literally, not figuratively.
Blackadder reference detected!

How long until this guy receives more than the Mars orbiter signal...a visit from FBI? I give it 14 days, tops.
