Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Sega Genesis/Master Drive play Sega Master System games?
Didn't the Saturn have a cartridge slot too? I never owned one, but I could have sworn there was one.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't UMDs below standard DVD resolution? (I forget the dimensions)
If so, viewing them on a TV would look like.. well.. ass.
Rogue Squadron on the N64.. especially with the V-Wing's seeker cluster missles. If you had the RAM expansion, I assume it would be less of an issue, I didn't have it though.
One time I used my Game Shark to get myself unlimited secondary weapons. Bad idea.. I spammed those seeker clusters like no tomorrow, and I locked it up.
Fun times.
An Amstrad PPC 512 (I think.. it MIGHT have been a 640, I don't remember)
2 floppies, no hard drive, shitty 9" monochrome screen... and it was "portable".. despite being about 3 feet long.
I did have a CGA monitor for it though, but finding the DIP switch settings to make it work was a pain.
When will you people realize this isn't the case? Yeah, you need it the first time you install, but after that, you can play with Steam in offline mode. Its not that hard.
More like Guild Wars's. WoW's requires external addons, while GW's has full internal customization. You can resize, move, remove, or add elements to your hud almost totally as you wish. Some stuff, like the skill bar have to stay on screen (but can be moved, resized, and I think even rotated), but most other stuff can be tweaked alot.
The DS OS sets the defaults though.
Though I do agree with the GP, a button for the light would be incredibly useful. As it is, I just leave it on, even when I don't need it.
This of course, coming from a guy that never bothered to install the on/off button for his Afterburner in his GBA:D
This is exactly what they were promising. From the start the business model was that you can buy expansions instead of a monthly fee. Minor additions would be made via streaming, in addition to gameplay tweaks and patches.
The Sorrow's Furnace update was really just an oddity... my guess is that they meant to have it in the original release, but it was behind.
Blockbuster carries PLENTY of unrated stuff. Nothing that you'd have to go in the back room with the curtian for in another store though. Softcore porn though, yeah, they've got plenty.
I thought I was just crazy... anyone know why this happens? There's some days I can't stand to go into the TV section in Wal-Mart or Best Buy... just drives me nuts.
My old car stereo (Pioneer DEH-3100, I believe) loaded mini-CDs just fine. Haven't tried it with my current one, but it wouldn't surprise me.
Now, the weird shapes, like the Yoshi-shaped CDs Nintendo used to sell, yeah, those wouldn't have a snowball's chance of working.
Yoshi from the Screensavers did that. He also threw in a PS2 and XBox. The video out went to a flat screen monitor with S-Video in additon to the usual monitor connections (I think, its been a while). Pretty cool.
You've never met an anime fan, have you? :p

CDex's implementaiton of the encoder allows you to explicitly set the bitrate.
You're forgetting PVR fuctionality.

No, Balmer will FUCKING KILL HIM. Everyone knows that, sheesh.
Except he's over Africa right now.. heading roughly east...

Am I the only one that finds the DS's buttons already uncomfortable to use? Making smaller would just compound the problem.
Sounds like a job for the Half Section. Too obscure?

Isn't it 5 LoC to the Hogshead? So, that's like 419 LoC, I believe. That is, assuming, its 5 LoC to the Hogshead...

Welcome to the wonderful world of DHTML and div layers.
Wouldn't putting it on the "dark side" hurl the moon toward Earth, assuming an explosion large enough to shake its orbit?
Try reloading GAIM then. They should appear.

You seem to miss the meaning of "Now Available." They never said "new" in there anywhere.
I'm 21, haven't seen Soylent Green, and I get it.
