  1. Depends on the resolution. 1440p and even 4k monitors are becoming more common and you need the extra power. It will be interesting to see how Dx12 will impact performance too.

Physician here. Medicare/Medicaid is tied to really arcane and often inane rules. You must document X of this and Y of that and word it in a specific way to get paid. What you actually do for the patient does not always matter but the way you document it makes a big difference. EMR has made it easier to conform to the rules and makes sure you write notes that can be easily billed for. It has simplified documenting for things that are tedious to do on paper (like review of systems, and counseling).

The only problem is how do you define "unsafe". When does unsafe become "the product of a competitor" or P2P software or something the government decided you shouldn't have on your computer etc. Also do you want your ISP to install some software on your box that will be scanning your memory for dangerous software and will cut your connection off if it finds any? The ultimate irony would be that the software will not run on Linux or BSD etc. effectively knocking offline the most secure boxes.

Since I can't edit I'll reply again. This is what I've based my comment on:

The team found a pattern emerged where by the types of cancer repeatedly occurred at similar times and geographical locations, known as "space-time clustering". Disease caused by more constant environmental factors produce clusters of cases in one place over a much longer period of time.
The way I read that is that there was a time/space correlation between those cancer "outbreaks" which made them look like infectious outbreaks. When you have a constant environmental or genetic factor as the cause you tend to get more uniform patterns of disease whereas an infectious etiology requires spatial and time correlations (this is required because the infection needs to be able to spread).

No read the article. It wasn't just a simple correlation, there was also a spatial and temporal association. Pretty much cancer data overlapped with infectious data. Things like weak immune system etc. would lead to constant rates not clustered in both time and space.

Bad comarison. Games are designed to have time sinks in them and to keep you playing so you shell out that extra $15. Generally this involves a lot of boring stuff with some excitement sprinkled throughout. It's based on the same principles that gambling is. Make the reward fairly rare and sread out at random intervals and people will keep playing to hit the jackpot/get that drop.

One way to do this is to itroduce consumables from vendors that everyone wants and are used up while hunting ths creating money sinks. It's not perfect but it does slow down the inflation.
Lineage II has this in the form of soul shots. They have to be crafted but use ingredients only sold at vendors. They increase your attack power thus allowing people to XP faster but a portion of the loot will go towards soul shot expense.
