    That will happen right after Pelosi takes the same mental exam Trump took, and Hillary takes the same physical (with the same doctor) Trump did. Oh, and results have to be made public just like his were.

    There are a lot of physically and mentally unfit members of the House and Senate who need to make their medical records public. Let's see all of those first.

    THE most useful extension was killed by 57. I'm hoping it gets resurrected, but I'm not holding my breath. Until then I'm using an older version of Firefox.

    My guess would be that the software is so old that the person (persons) who designed it is already retired. Or, it's possible that they've moved on to another job with another company.

    Ideally, you would pay sales tax to the state where the retailer (or e-tailer) is located. I consider it to be exactly like buying an item when you're on vacation. You pay tax on the item in the store where you bought it. You carry it home in your own car instead of shipping it by UPS.

    My own home state is so greedy that they expect you to pay sales taxes even on items you bought on vacation! Screw that! They didn't invest anything in the sale.

    States with low or no sales taxes would have an advantage over states with high sales taxes, but that's the way competition is supposed to work. Let them compete to lure internet businesses to their state. 4% of something is way more than 100% of nothing.

    I think sales taxes are a very regressive way of funding government. The low to middle income families pay a disproportionate part of their income in sales taxes.

    I would go even further. If you live off the taxpayers (and this includes government employees and elected politicians), no vote for you. The only exception would be members of the armed forces.

    It would be similar to a person recusing themselves because of a vested interest.

    That was my very first thought, but it does look more and more like a Microsoft mistake.

    My desktop system at home runs Windows 7 Ultimate and I have it set to "tell" me about updates, but let "me" decide when to download & install them. I always wait until all the bugs are known before applying updates. Good thing, too, because all my systems run on AMDs!

    Amen! What kind of jobs do these kids have that would let them buy their own iPhone? No, they get them from their parents and it's totally the parents' responsibility for limiting the use of the phones. Apple, as much as I hate them, bears no responsibility for raising your children.

  20. For nearly the entire history of the internet, there were no "net neutrality" rules and everything worked fine. During the short time the rules were in place nobody noticed any difference.

    If Amazon, Facebook, Google, Netflix, Twitter and other tech giants are for it, I'm against it. Let me make it simpler - if evil is for it, I'm against it.

    If you think those companies are looking out for your best interests, you're a fool.

    I have a Roku Premiere +. It's much better than the original Roku I owned years ago, but it's still not as good with games as Fire TV is. Roku's YouTube interface is a little clunky but works great.

    I have Roku and Fire TV. Each is better in its own way. Fire TV is faster and smoother and plays better games. Roku has tons more "channels" + YouTube. I can switch back and forth between them.

    They're cheap enough. Just get both.
