I buy green coffee beans for about $6 a pound. Then I roast them to perfection (or what I like). When I want coffee I grind what I need and brew it - using a French press for one cup or using an 8-cup brewer for more than one cup. I make my coffee stronger than most people do, but it still averages about 10 cents per cup.
With K-cups you never know how old the coffee is or where it came from. I've had some that was delicious, but a lot that was yuck. I just kept quiet and never insulted the machine's owner.
Whatever the system of government, the best thing to limit corruption is a free and unbiased press. Any form of government is subject to getting out of hand and/or being corrupted.
Governments have long known how to stifle the press, and they're learning now how to stifle even communication between people who are using the internet.
The main problem we have here in the U.S. is corruption - at all levels of government. We don't even have real Capitalism; we have crony Capitalism, and I personally lay the blame at the feet of the press. They just won't hold anybody accountable who is on their side politically. Our republic is long gone and we may never see it again.
Your smoke alarm, sprinkler system, seat belts, airbags, helmets, life insurance, condoms, life preserver, safety vest, and Depends have not violated anyone's Fourth Amendment rights.
I bet your Depends have kept your bed dry.
THIS is the question you need to ponder, "Has the U.S. government violated our rights in the name of (perceived) safety?"
California could start by restricting water usage on golf courses, like that lush soggy one Obama played on last time he was there. Talk about some more equal than others!
I don't get overtime pay, but I do get "incentive" pay for anything over 32 hours per week. Since my job can't be done in bad weather, I kinda like having my base salary during those slow times. In good weather I can double my pay with only a little bit more effort.
I like to joke that I'm paid twice a month weakly. I'll never make what I think I'm worth; it would drain the Federal Reserve Bank!
Although this year's Winter Olympics are being held in a relatively warm place, most Winter Olympics are held in places that are way too cold for nudity. The male athletes would protest mightily about their perceived size.
It would be easier to comprehend and your case would be much stronger if you used decimal points instead of commas, and commas instead of decimal points. If we can't all agree on such a simple thing as decimal points vs commas, then we'll never get everybody aboard the SI system.
So, your 1km = 1000m = 100.000cm is always better as 1km = 1000m = 100,000cm
You go with beta and eventually end classic, and I leave Slashdot.
If I want news from a poorly designed news website, I'll go to something like al.com. It's one of many poorly designed news sites. I KNOW where I'm at - I don't need a banner at the top of the page telling me that. And it would be nice if all the comments weren't crowded over on the left side of the page leaving nothing but unused white space on the right. Can't anybody at Slashdot get it right?!?
I could go on for a while, but I'd be wasting my time. Y'all are a lot like a city council wanting input from the public when you've already made up your mind. No thanks. I can get that from politicians - I don't need it here.
Just in the savings in shipping costs it would still be a bargain for me. I order a boatload of stuff from Amazon, and watch their steaming service all the time. I think of their streaming service as my humongous DVR. Even at $119 per year we're still talking about less than $10 a month, just slightly more than my Netflix subscription. It's like having Netflix with the added benefit of free two day shipping.
Look at the percentages spent on various departments and you'll find that spending on the military is relatively small compared to other spending. Plus, national defense is one of the FEW things that the federal government is supposed to do according to the Constitution.
Imagine a couple of dozen drones waiting in a couple of dozen garages just a few miles from the Super Bowl. They're all launched at the same time and they're all carrying explosives. It wouldn't take long for them to reach their target. Can we expect the security in and around the stadium to stop all of them? That's why I'm not going to the game. Call it self-preservation. Too many nutcases in the world and just too risky.

How about instead of flying off the handle, why don't you read the damned law first and see for yourself what it says and what it actually does?
Then read the article at this site: http://www.christianpost.com/news/issue-analysis-arizona-bill-does-not-give-businesses-license-to-discriminate-against-gays-115093/
If I remember correctly, I think it was called "The Fall of the Roman Empire".
He's fully qualified to hold elective office.

Well, it's nice to see CNN finally catching up. Most news outlets I listen to have been telling us about these dangerous chemicals for years.
No, but drinking beer can make you smarter.
It made Bud wiser!!
No joke like an old joke.
I thought William Shatner was the oldest star.

clusterfuck?
Best to scrap the whole thing, law and all, and start over. And this time please don't leave it up to a community organizer and his gang.
I usually say something like, "I remember your name, but I can't force myself to remember your face." Breaks the ice every time.

I always salt my hash. Tastes better with salt - kinda bland without it.
I saw this once on a t-shirt:
"I really do know it all.
I just can't remember it all at once."
I'll be 61 in a few weeks, and I don't know it all yet. But I'm close, really close now!
Friends don't let friends use PowerPoint.
with a butt-ugly interface.
No sir, I don't like it.

It's a good thing that they did, otherwise they may never have assembled again.
