and the fake $20? Probably some disgruntled crook got tired of giving out real money during the day (and getting money from real ATMs next night), decided to double his profit by giving out fakes in the first place. Not necessarily. Price wars usually means there are several companies trying to establish certain market share. What you're talking about is when one deep pocketed company sells a product well beyond the price in order to drive competition out of business. Once the competitors are out of question, the price goes back up. I believe this process is called dumping in economics, and is considered illegal. It might be tricky to prove though.

There's nothing wrong with healthy competition, it drives innovation, and customers get better product for lower price.

    What's REALLY bad is monopoly.

Maybe she automated a couple of repetitive tasks, and now it takes her shorter time to accomplish. Personally, I think if the job gets done, it doesn't matter if the employee spent whole day on it looking busy, or just half a day. If someone is effective enough, the extra free time is simply their reward. This works the other way as well: she cannot claim she needs more (paid) time. If there are things to be done and she needs to work overtime, she won't get paid for that.

The technology was supposed to be hack-proof because it connected to your dna string and was supposedly be rendered useless w/o proper dna match.
