In my experience working in my IT shop of 3 people I don't think any of us have ever fallen asleep on the job. This is probably because we set our own schedule and can come and go any time we want, but I guess that is besides the point.
There's these little things called priorities. There are much more important things for police officers to be doing then busting pirates and writing speeding tickets. Deal with the violent crimes like rape and murder first, then get on to the other lesser crimes.
Can you tell me why it is only 25% of all murders are EVER solved? Despite what COPS tv show might make you think more often then not the police don't get their man.
