iTunes is actually a really easy way to organize your mp3 files. It's pretty freakishly good when you compare it to the other systems such as Tag and Rename etc.
Bill is a pretty bright guy, and from this interview he does appear to be joe everyman.
So now he's the richest person ever he has to ask himself "what next", "have I created something that is meaningful?". If the answer is no then he's just a capitalist b4s**** who has exploited a monopoly, if it's yes then he's created the most useful thing in history.
If you're the richest person in the world and a devout capitalist then you're bigger than (insert Deity).
It must be terrifying for him to have to face this decision, because realistically, he is deciding for everyone the outcome of this ehical and social debate.
The fact that he is on the fence, when he comes out looking like a tool if IP is drastically restructured, deserves praise.
Of course what he's saying is that he's going to wait while slashdot fights it out with the RIAA and he sees who comes out on top. Of course we all know where Balmer sits, so through inaction he has created this fight, go BILL!
Opera allows you to open a window in a new tab more easily and configure the command better.
But more importantly! Opera supports closing the browser and upon reopening it having it EXACTLY THE SAME AS WHEN YOU CLOSED IT! (unless a page was updated:P) INCLUDING HISTORY!
This feature is awsome! Once I procrastinated studying something for a whole semester just left it in my browser and never even bookmarked it!
Plus if my computer crashes (sigh windows) no problem!
Well the thing is that most porn buyers don't care about cost.
Of course most consumers aren't terribly concerned about cost either.
Unfortunatly there isn't any good system to encourage U.S. companies to be honest. So customers just spend the most money and assume they get the best value, pathetic.
$2-$5 you got ripped off dude. Should be $1 a disk for anything. Which is the same everywhere except in Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia, China, Vietnam are all $1 (usually canadian $1 sometimes $1 U.S. Hong kong sometimes get's up near $3-4 but those are legitimate copies.
I find when you break past the standard DSL upload speed of 15kbps you get a massive increase in download speed, around 18k or so you can pull as much as you get at 45k.
If something is really cooking that's the best speed to pull those really sweet 350k oooppsss bittorrent messed up speeds.
Um the lawsuit problem is actually not the biggest one, I mean sure they could sue everyone but that just doesn't work.
If you've been on Kazaa recently you will have noticed that many files have versions offered that don't work, these broken files often have tonnes and tonnes of bandwidth (which actually makes them stand out) but basically someone is sending you broken versions of the most popular files, and broken in a way which isn't always obvious, now bittorrent is particularly vulnerable to something like this.
Now these file sharing farms ARE hard to move, these people aren't like spammers or ddosers who have huge networks of zombies, they have to buy and run these things, now peer guardian will probably have additional features like mp3 checking to make sure the specific way the RIAA breaks files won't work anymore, additional md5 checks so the riaa can't send broken peices in every bittorrent you download, and some form of ip checking to determine which computers are spamming bad data... clarified?
Eliminating bad peers on p2p, whether virus bastards, broken file bastards, mislabeled file bastards, or leeching bastards has always been the dream and more power to them.
ISP sales reps usually don't even know what latency is, I've heard comment's like.
Higher throughput means lower latency" and other ridiculous panderings. I haven't heard of anyone who is extraordinarily happy with their isp, it's a routine service it should JUST WORK without concerns like 98% uptime.
There's something about being able to sell a brand that REALLY makes me cringe, I mean the whole point is supposed to be an assurance of quality gained over time.
But if you can just sell it like any other commodity then it reveals the new evil nature of branding and consumer recognition, marketting.
It's especially scary with computers, where problems usually result in total failure. Statistics are usually only compiled by the companies and only reflect people who actually report problems.
Warranties are on the upswing and reliability is in the crapper, sigh.

There are lots of people complaining that too many games focus on eye-candy.
Linux could do fine in terms of RTS Turn based strategy, adventure, etc.
The awsome multiple window features gives great possibility for hotseat gaming.
Why is Linux trying to be an FPS platform, that's just silly.
If there is no incentive... why does it exist?

Sigh, you've never been there.
And your an asshat.
Um your scores are way off I have a 9000 pro and I get 25-33 fps at 1024x768 on a athlon 2600+
People who spend a lot of money on their graphics card always want to imagine they got a great deal but you just got ripped off.
The sweet spot in the current generation is the 6600GT which is an excellent card.

Reversable cables? Come on that is so unnessecary! And making them wide and flat come on!

Plus the whole master/slave system is kinda fun.
Basically it's the only thing a novice couldn't figure out on their own when doing an install

I would do that, and for a while I was. But unfortunatly I live in Canada and my government is sane.
:(
So um yes I pirate EVERYTHING but um... it's not illegal

I was hoping somehow there was like a new cpu manufacturer who made a socket A compatible chip :(
We need some indie CPU manufacturers.
Skype will come to Nintendo DS, 10,000,000 little kids will get it.
:P
Their parents will be forced to get it to maintain communications.
The telico's will fall and everything will be nice
You missed the pear PC reference dude :P
But are they bastardized because of the artists grubbing for profits or because of the advertising executives being most successful in pushing trash?
:(
Tonnes and tonnes of games slip under the radar just like books and movies, that's the true horror.
Someone released the HL killer, the WOW killer, the Sims Killer but it probably went under the radar

$649 do you know how much PC I could buy for that?
Nintendo has those really cool usb carts for piracy, that for me, is winning them the war.
:(
And I really wanted to buy those nice Psp games
Um for many people who have a modded xbox or a ps2 it is their primary DVD player.
Um the lawsuit problem is actually not the biggest one, I mean sure they could sue everyone but that just doesn't work.

Because people don't like sticky feet my man.
The movie industry has the most blatant price tiering system ever, and there is no way you'd put up with it in your home.
Dude sports aren't about competition or even winning.
Someone needs to get the women, duh.
I was just thinking, people if you want to donate your piracy be proud, but if you're going to overcharge? Fear the reaper.
Dude I worked at Blockbuster, we get all up in there with the scour pads, ain't no lousy coating on earth gonna let you watch a skip free DVD.
