I seriously don't get what the big idea is. Most people I've spoken to agree that the Diebold machines are almost as reliable as the system that the slashdot polls are run on, and we all know that slashdot polls are top-notch scientific polls!
Just try nuclear power in Sim City. Your power plant will melt down in a few decades every single time. I have no idea how their developers feel about nuclear power.
Also, the editorializing about Reganomics being bad is even worse in Sim City 3000. I remember there was a quotation from the 'tax advisor' saying that it wouldn't be fair to the city to not tax the ---- out of everything to fund the budget.
I heard a funny urban legend once. They said that someone knew exactly where the red-light cameras were set up in a certian place.
He managed to get into the car with his ass exposed above the steering wheel and drive through the intersection with the license plate covered up. How he managed to steer the car is beyond me.
Can anyone confirm if this story is true or bogus?
Enough with Clippy already. I know that many of us, myself included, don't like Clippy, but I think it's a hollow argument since Clippy is very easy to disable.

Click here. No further explanation is required. This is definately one of the worst movies ever produced. To quote the linked article, "Super Mario Brothers is kind of like Hell, except I'm pretty sure Hell has a better production designer."

Personally, I think that the real travesty with the Social Security system is using the numbers for identification. This is a terrible idea, IMHO. It's like a password that can never be changed.
"Sir, just for ID verification purposes, I need your Social Security number."
"Sure, it's ###-##-####."
Even a skript-kidd1e ought to be able to see what the problem is here. I think that someone who knows your Social Security number shouldn't have any more on you than some who who knows, say, your phone number.
I thought that his ideas on computer voting were very relevant. I've heard many times "A security system fails when the reward for breaking it exceeds the cost of breaking it," but I never thought to attach a "reward" and "cost" to stealing votes.
Don't worry, the Great Modem in the Sky will see to it that your data gets safe passage across the River Styx, so don't worry about your data.
I don't know that you've logged on at all. You're posting has an AC.

I believe that the RIAA is already onto this, and has been for quite some time now.
I challenge you to name one person whom Bush has called a traitor for disagreeing with him.

Hello, my name is Jack Valenti, and I think that your downloads are un-fucking-believable!
If they find Noah's Ark and Atlantis, they just might find the code that LINUX developers stole from SCO.
So, will this one also have a backdoor password that cannot be removed by the customer under any circumstances?
No, masochism is when YOU enjoy pain. It's called sadism when you enjoy inflicting pain upon others.
What country are you from?
I'd say he's obviously not from the same country as Bill Clinton, Gary Conditt, and OJ Simpson.

They won't turn off the internet. They'll just impose their HTML 3.0 standard based on DMCA law. HTML 2.0 browsers will become circumvention devices.
