Its been less then 40 years and already 5" 1/4 discs are useless and hard to come by. Not to hard to come by. I've got a few laying around so the dust has something to land on. Laziness dictates that I probably have a few drives laying around too.

What if they put it in the microwave for a few seconds? :P

Luckily "Not valid unless signed." does not specify you must write your name in the space. Not all credit cards carry this or a similar marking on the card.

"Regardless of the project involved, Microsoft employees may have less leverage over wages with the company since it's hiring Indian vendors that provide engineers for as low as $18 per hour, Courtney said." $18/hour is not too far below the mark here in the US. The few dollars more an hour (and I do mean few) would be a pay increase if the cost of living is factored in!

  12. Election Year on Labor Department Downplays Offshoring · · Score: 1

It's an election year, everything is downplayed or out right ignored until some one is elected. This is the main flaw with democracy. The candidates are too concerned with getting the job to be honest.

I think this goes along the same lines as realistic looking dolls. They are creepy...maybe because of their frequency in horror movies.

  14. Human Error on RFID License Plates in the UK · · Score: 1

I'm certain that they will not get rid of the OCR checks that the border guards do, but having that as a backup is not a bad thing. It is a lot easier and faster to look up a car by computer. This could give border guards more time to refine their charming personality!
