Because you can hit x to toggle the fore/background colours and it's a waste of an otherwise useful mouse button? In a progrma like windows paint where there aren't really many things you can do behavior like that is fine, but in real graphics software you have so many more features available that could use the functionality.
I also personally find that holding the right button while painting is less precise than the left button.
It's not that the image quality really matters, but that kind of shit isn't all that hard to do. It almost looks like they had gone out of their way to make it obvious what parts they took out. Just sloppy.
How is it "good news"? Then all of us ms-bashers have to see all these comments where assholes like you whine about it. Just don't read it if you don't like it (or do like I do and just read one every third week or so) or if you're going to read it shut the fuck up because it's whining like yours that makes up most of the wasted space on/.
Standardized installers have been available for years, though I don't see them used that often due to 1) having most software that I would otherwise have to get seperately available from the initial installation, and 2) compiling most other software and updates from source. But take a look at things like OpenOffice, CXOffice, and Unreal Tournament for examples of installers that are not only dead simple to use by work well across distributions.
I'd argue the point on GUI, but you don't seem to have actually used a Linux enough to have an opinion and you sound like a troll.
Managing installed programs sure seems easier to me on Linux than windows, but if you're looking for clickedy clack graphical uninstall panels and shit like windows has I wouldn't have th first clue.
Also, we Linux users don't just clone Destro about and slap Linux stickers on him. This year we're bringing out Cobra Commander and Duke models too.
So you're saying microsoft is selling a two-year-old version of windows?
The problem isn't that a "two-year-old" OS is getting owned constantly, it's that a brand new computer with a current copy of windows installed TODAY would get owned TODAY. Though I guess it really doesn't matter with windows. Who really cares if their game machine is a little flaky and filled with spyware since you just turn them off when you're not playing games anyway?
PDA sales are being eaten by cell phones. Given recent attempts at merging the handheld gaming market into a cell phone and their obvious success I don't think there is anything to worry about for the forseeable future.
I do however agree that there isn't a huge growth potential for the PSP, because I don't see where the market is for a 250$ portable game player.
You've got to remember though, DS came out before the biggest shopping holiday of the year. PSP is coming out before what? Though in all likelihood you're right, there are a lot of morons out there who will pay premium to have something a couple weeks early.
Did I hit a little too close to home, son? Think on this and then take one year off from posting because you are a moron:
1) No one was reporting the "imminent" death of anything, least of all me. You can feel secure that your precious windows will be around for many years to come and continue it's unprecedented success.
2) Other than a die-hard windows fanboy, who else would particularly care if PPC and Linux were the dominant combination for desktop computing?
As a Linux user I certainly don't care what hardware I'm running on as long as the few close-sourced apps I need are compiled natively. And the Mac kids wouldn't care, since there would be nothing keeping them from running OSX on the same PPC hardware.
3) See 1 and 2 and see how this is something that "everyone can enjoy" except "windows fanboys". A group you obviously take great pride in belonging to. Or perhaps you just aren't old enough to have developed much reading comprehension.
At best you are "stealing" a theoretical profit that the publisher would have theoretically made if not for you downloading it. There is no hard evidence that this is actually true, and quite a bit of evidence that it is not.
Remember, this sort of thing is only illegal because these mega corporations think that somehow everyone will suddenly pay for things if it is the only option for them to get it, and they have the lobbying power to push the legislation.
Laws are neither "right" or "wrong", they are just the laws (which seems so obvious despite so many here no seeming to get it), most of them no longer made with the best interest of actual people in mind. In the case of IP laws it just seems a little bit silly for an industry that is making record profits EVERY year to whine so much and then sue 12yo girls for thousands of dollars.
I will once again be accepting the apologies of all microsoft fanboys who were like, "omfg, th3yR g1v1n6 17 4w47 wtf m00r d0 j00 w4n7?!?!?!?!". I'm sure that all of you now feel good that you have come to the conclusion that is so obvious to those such as the parent and reformed your misguided fanboy ways.
I'm going to assume that your escape key is still in the wrong place.
I also personally find that holding the right button while painting is less precise than the left button.
He has never run Linux and felt like going for a little troll on /.?

You must be very proud.

I tried to run a virus on WINE once. It didn't work. Has anyone else had success in this area? I probably should report it as a bug or something.
Well I guess they could create a hardware implementation of the virtual machine. Sort of a virtual machine machine or something.

Egg came first anyway, so I don't see how it's even relevent.
Let's see... when was the last time I saw a CD burner at the library? Oh yeah, NEVER!
We should throw that shit into the Sun. Just build a space elevator with no top and fling it right into that fucker.
And now with the success of out-sourcing work to third world countries the "market" can get all that sweet, sweet child labour it's been craving.
1) Network the 386s/486s/P100s
2) Install Linux
3) Create huge beowulf cluster
4) PROFIT! (for electricity company)

A semi-reliable gaming platform?
Shouldn't it be 17+1? Because last I checked BSD wasn't Linux. Or did it come back from the grave much graver as an incarnation of Linux?
So you're saying FreeBSD is sort of like Slackware with less hardware support?
And lucky you, you got at least one of the two WITHOUT his stem cells.

How about automatically resizing a page to fit the paper when you go to print?
