    He could be comparing by equivalent ages, so the one who went into a trade would already have three or four years under his belt when the college grad starts.

    It's not exactly clear what he means. Perhaps he should get that degree in communications?

    NZ is 1200 miles from Australia

    This was pointed out to me some time back, when I asked a kiwi why it was a separate country instead of being a province (or whatever they're called) of Australia.

    In my defence, it doesn't look anywhere near that far on a map.

  4. It is a great fallback for many that don't have the brains or education level to get far in civilian life.

    Especially the ones who aren't violent enough to be police officers.

    Productivity, and the indirect effect small things have on it, is difficult to measure at the best of times.
