Every new book you read might suck. That's the risk you take when you start into any book.

So you're saying that "One of my rules of thumb is if there is a book that people want to ban and/or censor I run right out and buy and read it." is an invalid statement just because some of those books might suck?

    Really?

You'd be amazed how many people are oblivious to design.

But in this case, I think AC is not really talking about design, but a mental cantrip where you use the far better modelling system of your brain rather than a wall covered in sticky notes that some people prefer, in order to some up with a truly holistic design.

I do the same, and find it baffling when other cannot do it.

Libertarianism: Facing need for some government, but but no more than that.

Not the job factory/overseer that the US government has become.

I don't think the libertarian policy has enough human factor to be implemented. Such a system design will inevitably eject the long-term thinkers [Who think in terms of themselves as members of a millenially-aged species and the responsibility inherent.] from the herd-minded short-term thinkers [Who care only about their own moment in time.] who don't care as long as they have food and shelter. What is the answer to that obstacle?

As far as games for Christmas presents, I bought ONLY local co-op games. Anything that didn't have it went back on the shelf. Not interested in buying multiple systems just to play games with the family. Sure, not everyone has a family, but there's a lot of us nonetheless.

Bought games for the WII and X360. Am not paying again to have the PS3 fixed. (Old thick version, what an overheating pile of junk)

BTW: Lego Harry Potter (We had to 'liberate' my boys present early) is pretty cool, once you get used to the change in (I dunno what to call it - controller mechanics?) the way you do stuff (As compared to the other Lego games). I like it, but it threw me for a loop at first, being different from the other Lego games. Less button mashing, and more just holding the button(s) down.
