If you insist on having personal stats that advance independently of the equipment, then just make it be a linear progression based on the amount of time spent doing stuff. You use melee weapons a lot, your melee skill grows. You use the bow, that grows. But if you don't use staff weapons, then that stat never progresses.
2. Will this be coordinated with the Chinese standard? If both the EU and China agree on a standard, India and Japan can be convinced to adopt it. Leaving America to figure out which direction it wants to go.
If the metric system vs. SAE is any gauge, we'll use our own thing.
This is an interesting thought. In a (US) military formation, the higher ranking people are to the far right of the formation (if you're standing in it), so the person to their left is lower ranking. You speak into his right ear. He's already compelled by rank and respect for your position to follow your directions, but this might add just a little more to it. Probably not.. but who knows.
Maybe I missed most of the argument here, but my Blackberry storm, from Verizon, can tether if I pay $15 per month. I did that for a while until I could convince my phone company to provide DSL to my area. Why are other phone companies against tethering, or am I completely misunderstanding something?
I found two interesting things with this search. First off, George Washington's race is listed as "black", ans secondly, if you add "legacy" as a key word, and add barack obama as one of the presidents, it says his legacy is "Driving the State Towards Bankruptcy"
All the non-tech people I know refer to their whole computer as the CPU as well. It annoys me, but I've been slowly educating people. My grandmother is getting a lot better at these things lately.
I see your sarcasm, but honestly this isn't as much of a security flaw in the OS as it is a "feature" in the OS that makes stupid users even stupider. A maliciously named file does nothing on its own, only when a user double-clicks it does it turn bad. Stupid users will break things on any OS.
That's why I (as a very conservative Republican) want EVERYONE in senate and congress, and all their staff, to be audited by the IRS yearly. I think that anyone who knowingly cheated on their taxes should be removed from their position, with a special election being held to replace them. I would leave the Democrats to deal with their party as they wish (after they are removed from their position), but I should hope that the Republicans would kick the tax cheats out of the party. I want my party to clean up any of their own problems first, then we could have the right to scrutinize the problems of other parties. But that's just my opinion.
Why don't they try improving their content? That might get more readers. If the NY Times tried to be lest leftist and biased, maybe their readership wouldn't be dropping like flies. Just a thought. Innovation's cool too.
I have been using my vzw blackberry storm as my internet connection device since November 2008, and it works alright as long as you're monitoring your usage. I didn't do it because it was the best option, I did it because it was the only (viable) option. I live in a rural area, and I could choose between satellite internet (typically capped at 7gb/mo I believe), dial up, or mobile. I have been a satellite terminal operator in the military, so I kind of know about the extreme latency in these connections. I also refuse to use dial up, since it's just a tease of what the internet can be. I got speeds up to 1mbps down over my blackberry (although it varies greatly, and can be as low as 14kbps at times). The worst part is that vzw charges $0.25/MB after the 5GB limit. Luckily I made some connections with the local phone company, and I'm finally getting my extended range dsl installed tomorrow, but if this weren't an option I would have bought a cricket usb dongle. The main advantages I saw with cricket is that it costs less, and when you go over the 5gb/mo cap they throttle your connection severely, but don't stop it, and don't charge extra.
I hope this was helpful. I spent a lot of time doing my own research about this stuff a few months back, I guess I should have just asked slashdot instead of researching.
I agree with this, and it kind of raises another question in my mind. If the "media" such as the news can show every detail of the war in your living room every night.. is it really that different for the "video game media" to show the same war? I'm a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and I look forward to this game. There were definitely some rough times over there, but at the same time I have some great memories and friendships that come from that kind of situations. I think it will be enjoyable.
The only thing stopping me from going Linux are the viruses. We desperately need the virus industry to start porting the viruses. I honestly believe that is the only thing really standing in the way.
What are the odds that MS is somehow involved in that?
I just want to feel like I'm a part of the botnet crowd! I wanna fit in!
I HEARD RUMORS ABOUT ACHEIVEMENTS FOR TYPING ALL IN CAPS AND FOR NOT USING ANY PUNCTUATIONS ok i guess i cant have too many caps or i cant post you learn something new every day i suppose
So, not being a WoW player, and wanting the level 80 achievement so badly.. I decided to steal it. Am I the only one who's WoW character is Zmdrtaco@Chromaggus? =)
I didn't mind "In the Name of the King", which is based on Dungeon Siege. It was pretty good, and made me want to play the game again.

Never played Dungeon Siege, eh?

I just lost The Game as well. The Game is very difficult.
You can do that?
You should see the DRM that the tool uses! Makes me miss SecuROM!
140 Characters? You can copyright 140 characters? Maybe. Can you copy this post?
