It's the only client that has the 'Protocol Header Encrypt' option which is very useful for those of us who's ISP's use services like P-Cube software. The P-Cube service engines are VERY capable of doing IP selective throttling and BitComet is the only solution I've found that can has an option that can get around it.
Kevin Rose gave up his job at G4 Tech TV to do his own thing with Systm and The Broken and his servers can't even handle getting slashdotted? I think he needs to get some of his priorities in order.
...because it's making you see extra zeroes. Depending on how severe the problem is, $300 is not really that far out.
Actually, when you click on the picture and read the caption it says $3000 but in the article text it says $300. I would assume the correct figure is $300 but it's LA Times' mistake so only they would know.
I have taken the source of the traffic images from my local transportation website and hosted them on a page so I don't have to click on each section of the map. Saves me a lot of time. I know many people do this. Feel free to use this webpage I have setup if you take the Don Valley Parkway, Gardiner, and QEW. Also the traffic flow map located at the top of that website is handy.
The whole point of radio is that its free. There is no way I will buy a SIRIUS satellite receiver stereo AND pay for the monthly price of $12.95 for programming. Does he really think all the current listeners will switch to satellite and pay for programming JUST to listen to him? In my mind I see him losing a lot of listeners because of this.
I've never actually laughed at anything posted on slashdot until today. That quote made me laugh out loud.
'Hi honey, I'm going to be late -- I'm stuck in the middle of a circus parade...Bye! Hey Joe, another round for me and the boys...what? Oh, whoops *click*
It should be interesting to see if HardOCP does comply and change their article or take it down completely in the days leading up to the deadline of Monday, March 8 that Infinium has set to carry out the lawsuit on HardOCP. Oh the drama!
Im starting to wonder if Tom's Netowrking even worked in the first place when the story was submitted. Who is to blame for this? The submitter of the story or the slashdot poster?
Has anyone actually been to the site before to know that it even exists?
There has been a lot of THG's articles posted here over the last few weeks so maybe it was just like, "oh well this is THG related so it has to be good" without even checking the link they post it?
I used to collect very fat checks from RYDIUM network who is an advertising agency who let me serve targeted tech-savy ads to our readers a while back when I was with 3D NewsNET. However, over time the CTR was going lower and lower and as a result the checks were no longer as high as they were in the beggining and now we are lucky if we can get a 0.50 CTR.
Most of the ads I see these days on sites are way too intrusive like the ones you will see on IGN and UGO that take up the browser's window and sometimes you are forced to wait however long the ad runs for until it re-directs you to the site. If its the only way for a site to go on then I guess it will have to do but there are always ways to get around it which is why so many sites through in the towel.
Apple should have had iTunes for Windows started and out 6 months before now, minimum. I like WiniTunes, now I wish it had been here before Dell started putting effort into portable music with their iPod (weak sister) imitation, and Rio's got a couple decent hard-drive based players now too. Apple would have this market more sewn up if they had been here first on PC too.
I thought that usually more than one person goes into space at one time for safety measures. If he gets hurt or something and there is no other people to help him while in space he could become injured or dead and take very valuable and expensive equipment with him.
Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but it seems most people are just worried about this delaying the game. I think more importantly this is all bringing back very bad memories of Quake 1's official source code release, and but unlike this, that was intentional.
The cheats for that game were pretty bad, but after the source code was out people were firing rockets out of their asses and flying through the air within a month or two. It became like a cheat writer's sand box:(
At least the game had been out for a few years before that happened....this is infinitely worse for everyone who was planning on playing HL2 or any future source engine game online.
I'm sure everyone can imagine the frenzy the cheat community is probably in right now, circle jerking each other. For them, this is better than the game getting released:\
I think the bad ass programers out there will totally dig having the extra registers. I know the programming monkeys out there are going to do some amazing shit with the A64 extensions.
32bit computing is what let us have what we have today... compare today to the world of 16bit computing... compare Windows XP to win3.11... Im sold.
I also saw something concerning the release date of Half-Life 2 being pushed forward even more by Valve. Gamestop which is a store that sells video games online now shows the release date of Half-Life 2 for 2/2/04, Check it out:

He probably won't have a hard time getting a job in the tech field as I'm sure his resume is pretty impressive.
Your missing the whole concept of PSP. PSP stands for Playstation Portable.
This is just getting a little silly now.
