I think it is more about the principle. I wanted to go to the US before 9/11 and the bullshit that followed after it. I'm not coming over until they remove these useless policies. Remember the 9/11 hijackers came into the US with proper documentation, I don't see how this 'security theatre' helps so I won't be entertaining it.
This story is about technology and its social implications today after 9/11. That is enough for it to be here. As a photography nerd this story is relevant to me, maybe some lawyer nerds might be interested as well.
She was also thicker than a corned beef sandwich, even after he explained stuff to her... like his regeneration, I always felt she slowed the story down because she was dumb. I was really happy they stuffed her in her own universe. Towards the end I thought she had matured because she knew more than the Doctor on the impending doom. But once they got back together she was corn beef again.
In the episode with the Master in the third series, it spans a whole year and while they do travel back in travel to reverse the damage the Master had done, the Doctor has still lived another year so chalk that up on the wall. Let's also remember that for most regenerations we don't know the length of the gaps in years. The 8th doctor was on screen for only an hour but how long did he actually live for, same with the 9th?
I think his point was that as an advanced culture we have attached our ideals and conceptions over basics bodily functions. Before we had culture and before we had religion, we could just fuck each other because there wasn't an issue. Indecency and the concept of intimacy is something we've created as we've advanced and made room for in our culture it hasn't always been there as was his point with using the monkeys.
"Anyway, the result is that sex is a private thing." - Only when those in charge deemed it otherwise.
Yeah my housemates also have that game and I agree just from watching them play it, it looks amazing, especially the lighting and I've made comments to them about the quality of the graphics. I understand your point about MGS, its a good point and I understand now why they sit through those long scenes. I only ever played the first GTA and the first MGS and left it at that never to go back.
I know what you're talking about but not everybody is going to be that logical about such things. I'm in my final year on a photography DEGREE course and some of my classmates don't know anything about colour models or the difference between RGB and CMYK. Kinda important if you want to sell exhibition quality work at some point right? Or they think they need to learn *just* Photoshop for editing their images, others give them credit will choose Lightroom as well but be totally ignorant towards Aperture, yet my philosophy is to learn both making myself more sellable. Some still don't know f-stops or during the summer break don't even touch a camera, yet this a 3 year course for which they are paying $6000 a year for in order to get a job! I expected this kind of behaviour at College.
But back onto your point, I think if something is introduced at a certain later age to somebody they will either ignore or try to use it to a degree. My dad doesn't understand computers and yet thinks buying my windows compatible hardware isn't a problem since I'm using a Mac. As far as they are concerned they didn't need it before and probably don't think they need it again. However, the babies being born today growing up with computers and the internet will be of a different attitude to the generation previous. Give it a another 10 years and see what happens.
My housemates play the MGS games and I doubt you need 4-5 games that are mostly comprised of long drawn out cut scenes and a non intelligent AI system.
This is sort of becoming another slashdot meme. "I guess I'm missing the point..." then follow on with the required anecdotal story. Well guess what? Not everybody works at a desk with a docking station. Different products serve different needs, at least a company other than Apple is trying to think out of the box.
I'm not denying it can have flaws but let the product find its place otherwise if you don't have anything nice to say...
How does citing a source that you can edit make any sense? Joking btw but I have a point.

Yes I've seen this and its great but I thought the parent was talking about auto-saves while in the field, not once you get home.
there is no such newspaper as the "Times of London", it is just "The Times" and a proper edit of the summary would be in order.
Apart from the auto-saves, this technology is already around.

I don't know why you were modded troll but you're right about the TV and thanks for the link.
The one thats always missing is the one where he introduces the original Bondi Blue iMac, there is a 7 minute version on youtube but its not complete.
How is it a sexual act just because you enjoy it? Surely its a pleasurable act? Cultural conceptions I think is getting in the way of nature.

Did she understand in the end though how fucking stupid she was?

So what was the problem with those machines?
Thats 'couldn't care less' in your second to last paragraph, oh wait... :)

Only outside the US as far as I know. Everywhere else uses sugar, not that that makes any difference since I don't drink fizzy pop.
It might be more open but who the fuck willing and knowingly wants to use it? On the flip side, how many of

Hasn't it been the case that good people die around the time of them making their last movie and it ends up being shit?
That reply from Tim Cook is bullshit, he knew really what the question meant but decided to not really answer it.
Sky spelt 'unlimeted' wrong btw, you should inform them.
