Maybe Taco and Hemos have just been speaking some sort of future English all along. They're time travellers from the year 2100AD, trying to fit in with our primitive society, and the only ones in our time advanced enough to communicate in their language are Apple...
In this case, you are not tagging the for loop. You are tagging a specific browsing behavior(view N things at a time). And even if it were a simple for loop, using tags instead of scriptlets exposes iteration variables that other tags might want to use whereas you cannot easily get at local scriptlet variables.
My point is tags are a good thing and should be used when possible. Scriptlets are the main reason people say "JSP sucks cause you can still embed Java in your HTML". Tags encourage reuse. Scriptlets encourage haters

If you have a page with a table of 34983 rows, and you want to split them ("go to next 100 results") in chunks and you created your page with all those fancy framework you have to change stuff in different-files, you have to create a new 'tag' and perhaps you have to "deploy" or what-ever....It's just not maintainable.
But say you wanted to do that several times over different tables with different size results. If you embed a java for loop in your JSP to accomplish this, you have to basically copy and paste your code where ever you want to repeat this behavior.
Tags allow reuse. Copy-and-paste is not reuse.
The problem with scriptlets is that they are so easy to use. They are great for prototyping but, as is often the case in software, prototypes soon become production applications.
Superman is flying around Metropolis one day and he notices Wonder Woman sun bathing nude on the top of a building. Not one to let opportunity pass him by he thinks to himself: what the hell, I'm Superman. I can get in and out of there super fast and she'll never know what hit her. So he does just that. Flies down there, has his way with Wonder Woman, and flies away smirking.
Wonder Woman: What the hell was that?!?
Invisible Man: Don't know but my ass is sure sore.
I did the same when I got mine(got the Canon Optura 200MC. write me if you want an opinion: I like it). I think it's awesome that iChat AV is compatible w/ Firewire cameras so those that have them do not have to buy the $150 iSight. I'm probably going to get the iSight anyway since it's a more convient size:)
They do get cheaper over time. Look at the price of the 1Ghz TiBook. It started out at $3k. Just before they announced the 12 and 17, they dropped the price to $2800(that's when I bought) and now it's currently on sale for $2600. Even less for the 800.
The 17" has a ridiculous keyboard placement. Take it for a test drive at an Apple store to see what I mean. It's too high up, ie too close to the screen.
The TiBook is great! We do both Java development(via eclipse) and DV on it and it works flawlessly. If you can swing it, I highly recomend getting the Superdrive. Also, these dudes will double the RAM for a $40 "installation fee". I bought mine through them and they shipped it immediately.
I think that is precisely what Apple wants to avoid. They do not want to become like Kleenex or Styrofoam or whatever. This is why they fight so had to protect their brand.
And I think if you had a million coconuts you could hook that up, cause chicks dig a dude with coconuts.
Well the kind of chicks that'd double up on a dude like you do.

Goddamn goobacks! Dey took er jobs!
Considering how much a simple oil change costs at a BMW dealership ...
All maintenance, including oil changes, are free for the first 4 years of 50k miles, whichever comes first.

As long as they are going to Federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison and not some white collar resort prison w/ conjugal visits.
So is the MS strategy to wait until their APIs are outdated so the Feds will not have a case?
Power and money are the language of America ...
In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women.
Whoops. Shoulda hit preview.

iMovie
Alienware will.
Maximum adressable RAM in 32bit machines is 4GB.
Thinkpads are great as long as you get the industrial ones(T or A).
The consumer grade versions are crap.
