Another thing I don't under stand is why didn't emulator authors ever consider upping the speed or the emulated processor to fix these type of things?
The point of an emulator is to emulate the behavior of a device, not improve on it. An emulator that mimics a device all the way to having the same clockrate can be very useful for game development.
Most emulators have an option to run at an unrestricted or increased speed, however.
Problem is that there's no line. It's a radio adaptor; the iPod actually plays over a user-defined radio frequency, and then my car radio picks up the station. Or do you mean I should stick a ground loop isolator between the ipod and the radio adaptor?
I bought a radio adaptor for my iPod, and I wish I hadn't. I don't know if I just have very sensitive ears or something, but when I use the adaptor in my car I hear a very high-pitched, very noticable whine coming from my speakers. Doesn't happen with the normal radio in my car or with the cd player.
However, it's great in the car, and I can't wait until I get an iPod compatible car stereo so I don't need to wear those awful earbuds
If you live in USA, then FYI (so you don't get a ticket) in Washington it is illegal to drive while wearing headphones. The phone headsets are ok cause they only cover one ear as far as I know. Other states probably have similar laws.
My introduction to programming was similar to yours. I used some simple scripting languages (hypercard/javascript), then learned Basic. My first induction into assembly was through the TI-83+. Yes, the calculator:) I began programming z80 assembly for the 83+ over three years ago, and have since learned C/C++, Java, 68k assembly, PHP and a few other languages.
I found that knowing an assembly language (even if it was for a relatively simple 8-bit processor like the z80) helped immensely when learning higher level languages (C++ especially).
but if spammer x sends a boatload of herbal viagra offers under bob's relay and bob gets a bill... then when they do catch spammer x he can be nabbed under wire fraud laws
Blue: I don't know what the technical military term is, but we're pretty fucked up down here! We need men! Guy in ship:.....Dude, how long have you been down there? Blue: Huh?... No, not like that!
gotta love red vs blue. Season two's finally started.
Just the other day I had a few friends over for a small starcraft LAN party. Turns out we were one monitor short, so we rigged my friends box up to an old 1983? 1985? Mitsubishi TV.
The resolution was a little (ok, a lot) crappy, but it worked. And it was damned cool at the time, too.
dude, it's from a commercial.
$20 says you cried yourself to sleep on prom night.

I must say, 1984 sure was a double-plus-good year.
forget outside the remit of HTML.. it's outside of HTTP. It would need a completely new protocol.

The trick is to hit the penguin at a shallow angle so that it skips off the snow instead of lodging in it when it hits the ground.
