I agree he has a poor choice of label. But he has a point in trying to distinguish himself from the phony people who do consider themselves 'capitalists' but aren't, really.
To me, capitalist is sort of like 'pregnant.' Either you are or you aren't. But others don't really see it that way.
Further, it doesn't really matter what he calls it here on/. The commie kids with authority complexes will attack him anyway.
When I go out on my racing bike (yes, with me pedaling) and I look down at the asphault, I definitly see blur. I even see blur in the asphault when running. And this is at speeds well under 40 mph.
It normally happens at the perifery - and that is where it happens in game - on objects as they pass you immediatly.
I didn't get a pre-order in and was going to stake out a Walmart and have both of my brothers stake out other walmarts.
I had an original Xbox shipped to me on release day but this time, there are simply no games that interest me - _at all_ - available at launch. Elder Scrolls III got me interested and so do some of the shooters.
What I did pre-order and what should arrive on release day is DDR Ultramix 3 - for the Xbox000.
Ah, how could I forget. BZ2 was an awesome game. When Iw as writing reviews I got a copy of it and was shocked by how awesome the graphics were. I was terribly disappointed by the lack of enough online players to make it truly fun in the long run.
"Certainly the B5 universe is almost tailor-made for a game, especially an immersive, online experience."
Certainly the B5 universe is tailor-made for the kind of sci-fi dorks who we can charge up front $50 and then another $15 every month for years on end.
That's what he really meant. You know, like SWG and TMO.
Thanks for saving me the trouble of posting much the same thing. I found one sentence in the story particularly amusing:
He was chosen as chair of Sub-Committee A during the WSIS process, and his remit includes all the most difficult and contentious elements - not just internet governance but also how the world will deal with issues such as spam and cybercrime
How can an organization for whom a majority of their members are cruel tyranical criminals deal with 'crime' much less harmless things like spam.
The ultimate goal is an extra-planetary internet. Impervious to interference, completely free, and unregulatable. What Teledesic was suppose to be.
They might. But there is a stated goal by the UN and others to put a laptop into the hands of every child on earth. And my point is they are simply going to sell them for something they actually need if you give them to them.
If you are intelligent and ambitious in Vietnam, you don't need anyone to give you anything.
If a company can make a profit on a $100 laptop (and HP and Dell will be making a profit on a really nice laptop for $400 on Black Friday), fine, sell it. But the give-away of this device seems kind of silly and will not be a fix _at_all_ for the endemic economic problems they face.
Granted, Vietnam is very much in many ways on the right track. But these give-aways are more harmful than helpful. Part of the reason that Live Aid and other programs wreck so much damage is that they destroy the local agriculture economy by giving away for free what farmers were hoping to trade and develop with. I know that's a seperate issue entirely from what this started with, but I figured I'd mention that this PC giveaway at a total loss is going to hurt the domestic Vietnamese PC industry, especially when the kids swap them at an even lower price to traders.
Has it ever occured to you or anyone else that these people you are going to try to sell $100 laptops to have no use for a laptop, for MS Windows, or for open sourced?
If you GAVE it to them, they would sell it for $60 to buy some better farming equipment or some shoes for their kids.
In Vietnam, the people who actually have a true NEED for XP can afford it by definition.
This is part of the assinine 'charity and/or socialist' thinking that it can manage an economy better than Adam Smith's invisible hand.
Everyone has their price. Make him an offer. Few million lbs a year. Of course he's going to totally waste it and has no clue how to use that kind of money.
I believe you are lying. Just buy an Xbox after the 360 is released. Will be about 100 new or less. Then you can or can't get the 360. I intend to have both setup next to each other. If you waited 4 years to get an Xbox 360 just to play Munch's Oddysee, you're lying. I call Barbara Striesand.
Sup bro. That was a post that/. is unworthy of having on it's boards.
A game you might want to look into, and it sounds like it would be right up your ally, is Eve. Free demo, yadda yadda yadda. I found it too complicated to me to be involved with (I dislike not being able to read a manual on how to play a game given my limited time), but I think it has just what you are looking for - and it has almost no grind.
And if I play this game anything like I played Morrowind on Xbox, the moment I see him it's going to be a shelaly to the back of the head. Bring back Kirk!
Attachment rate of 3 isn't hard to figure. Most packages have a selection of four games or so. Attach rate for Xbox was higher than for any other console.
Then again, MS vastly overstated expectations for sales of the first console.
One 'concept' results in life, many others do not. There is no difference.
I am guessing he is on the faculty/staff of the Ludwig von Mises Institute.

It's a little like the doppler effect.

And I'd add - it was developed by Pandemic, who has developed many other awesome games.

You hear a cranky old guy complaining about young people, and to magnify how cranky and old he is, he does not know how to use basic html tags.
It read like the emails I get from my grandmother who uses WebTV.
I admit that the lack of frequent save points kinda sucks, but it's a great RPG + RTS + Action. Good story lines, too.

So no complaining about a lack of paragraph tags?
So yeah, they do pretty much live in huts.
And I am actually going back to the basement of your mom's trailer (wierd trailer to have a basement).

Yeah, I figured as much. Will do, thanks.
I am very interested in getting this game. I have a pretty high end (top 3% on Windows Game Advisor) PC and I have an Xbox. Which version is better?
CAPTAIN PICARD OF TEH STARSHIP ENTERPRISE!!
Yeah, that's right. He does the voice work.
And if I play this game anything like I played Morrowind on Xbox, the moment I see him it's going to be a shelaly to the back of the head. Bring back Kirk!
Little thing called a memory card.

I think I just became desensitized to bad grammar and spelling.
This is less an Xbox story than a story of a highly stastistical method for ranking and pooling players together in an online environment.
