So if your parents feel awkward about being on camera. Fine! They don't need to be. You can have a camera on your Mac and initiate a one-way chat. That way they can see and hear their grandson and you can talk to them.
iChat will also work with most FireWire equipped camcorders.

3) After 3 and a half years of peace in the middle east, He will break the treaties he has made, declare himself to be god, and begin to exterminiate the Jews.
4) The antichrist will institute the M.oT.B. which you will need to buy or sell food.
5) This will be a time of war and natural catastrophes unparalleled since the begining of the world. About 2/3rds of the Earths population will be wiped out.
6) This period of turmoil on earth will last for 3 and a half years. This time is reffered to as "the tribulation".
7) Jesus returns to the late great planet Earth. Cleans house and sets up an earthly kingdom in Jerusalem and reigns for 1000 years.

Projectors are becoming inexpensive commodity hardware like computers and inkjet printers. Printers have become so cheap, I don't buy ink cartridges for $40 anymore. I just buy a brand new printer for $60 and use the old printer as a stocking stuffer.
I tried the bed sheet thing too and wasn't happy with the results. I then went to Home depot and purchased the largest vinyl shade(the old-fashioned pull down shades to keep light from coming in your windows) they had. It has a much smoother finish and my images look much crisper.
I have used the InFocus X1 too and have been extremely happy with it. I can't believe anyone would waste money on a plasma display. Projection gives a real home theater experience.
That is one of my favorite features. Apple is one of the few companies I don't mind giving my money too. I always come away feeling like I got the better deal. I don't know how many Windows users can say the same thing.

I think a cool solution would be a piece of Bluetooth jewelry, such as a ring. I would love to be able to do this with my SonyEricsson T68i. Walk away from the computer and as soon as I'm out of range everything is encrypted.
I also have a T68i + DLink adapter and it works perfectly.
I can even use my T68i as a mouse.
iSync syncs perfectly with my phone, iPod and backs up everything to my.Mac account for convenient web access of my contacts, calendars, and Safari bookmarks.
Good Luck trying to find integration like that on Wintel.

I think one of the major factors that would make this type of service succesful is great hardware to go with it. Most of the eBook readers I have seen have poor specs and are not convenient to use. Some were built around proprietary formats.
I would love to see an eBook with the simplicity and usability of an iPod. Apple's OS is already based on the PDF. I would love to have 10,000 books in my hand.
Apple has yet to cave in to consumer demands for el cheapo iPods. They have kept the prices high but they continue to sell.
Unless Apple's MP3 player marketshare starts dropping percititously because of competition from el cheapo players, we aren't going to see any drop in price for the iPod.

I think Apple can do an eBook right.
Compact form factor.
High resolution screen.
Simple intuitive interface.
It would also be cool if Apple allowed you to buy books and magazines in PDF format to read on your new eBook like the iTunes Music Store.

I have a Sony EricssonT68i on AT&T and my wife has a Sony Ericcson T316 with Cingular. This will probably be my next phone if Cingular supports it.
iTunes has been called a Trojan Horse that will slip into consumer PCs and perhaps persude them to buy an iPod or a Mac.
Will the XServe RAID become the equivalent Trojan Horse that will slip into corporate data centers and lead to future purchases of XServes?
I hope Apple doesn't ignore this opportunity but instead promotes the fact that the XServe RAID plays well with other systems.

Apple thought that a big investment in them by Microsoft would be good PR. Unfortunately I think it has backfired in the long term.

Wednesday morning: The screen on my PowerBook G3 dies
After some time spent troubleshooting I call AppleCare.
Wednesday Afternoon: UPS guy arrives with empty padded box. I put my baby in. He takes it away.
Thursday: I'm miserable.
Friday morning: UPS guy arrives with my precious package.
The screen was fixed and the computer looked like it was cleaned and detalied. Joy!
