  1. In the same tone on Studies Confirm That Bad Boys Get More Girls · · Score: 1

A lot of "bad girls" get the boys too. But, the difference is, 99% of the time, after we are done with them for the night, we're done with them. The "bad boy/good girl" problem is that the girls think they can change the bad boy. Buzzzzzzzzzz ain't gonna happen.

  2. Corsair on USB Flash Drive Life Varies Up To 10 Times · · Score: 1

I had a voyager 1 gig a couple years ago. The one with the rubber around it. It wasn't "road ready" for my use. After 9 months of use, the usb connector pulled loose, and you could feel it wiggle around inside the rubber case. On the other hand, my old 256 gig sandisk "titanium" is still kicking. I recently bought the new 4 gig version. If corsair had one like sandisk, I would buy one. It was blazing fast.

  3. air burst on Pentagon Wants Kill Switch For Planes · · Score: 1

air burst a nuke over the runway. Unless the plane has vacuum tubes, it will fry everything. A lot of the former soviet aircraft had vacuum tubes for this very reason. In a nuclear war, their planes, tanks, etc would still have some functionality.

I remember the duct tape well...as a 10 year old kid, those grainy images and sounds fascinated me. About a year after Apollo 11, they brought it up to the state capital. Made my parents drag me up there to see it. Looking inside that tiny capsule was a treat...just to think where it had been.

  15. It happened here on Cities Tampering With Traffic Lights To Generate Revenue · · Score: 1

I go through one intersection in my town 4-5 times a day, and have so for the past 15 years. About a year after the red light cameras were installed, the city traffic engineer said the lights had been "adjusted" to better sync them with other lights, which of course is total BS. Now, everything bottlenecks because the timing of this North/South major street isn't sync'd with the other lights. Also, I can tell you for a fact the yellow is BARELY available. It goes from green to red REAL quick. What's really funny is that they said they needed "X" number of cars running the light to break even. Now, they are so effective that less than one runs the light per month, in other words, they are LOSING money. So, they installed a few more, which of course will lose money...but...it's about "safety" isn't it?

  16. Harmonics on Mysterious Sound Waves Can Destroy Rockets · · Score: 1

  17. Environmentalist nutjobs on Oil Deposit Could Increase US Reserves 10x · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Nothing to worry about. I'm sure the nutjobs in the environmentalist wacko departments will stop it before they drill one drop. It will be stopped because: A. It's native American soil...can't disturb it. B. Might endanger the buffalo...can't drill here. C. Native American prairie grass...can't dig it up. So see, don't worry...the nutjobs will stop it, this way we can continue to be dependant on foreign oil. Also, it doesn't matter how much oil we have in the USA. We can't refine it, since the same nutjobs will stop at nothing to prevent another refinery being built.

I'll give it to them (after I take my personal stuff off), but, if like me, they buy their own drive, because the one the state issued, or bought me isn't enough, they can't have it. Good luck prying it from my hands. I just will leave it in my glove box of my car. Since it is a metal casing, you can't have it. I just won't bring it into the office and will use the one you issue me for all work related business.

I love it when people complain how expensive something is. When you ONLY make 22 of something, factor in the R&D, and that is why the per copy version is so expensive. You think McDonald's double cheese burgers would be only $1 dollar if they sold only 20 per day? They sell thousands per day, bringing the per cost copy down. If they would TEACH economics properly in the United States, maybe asshats wouldn't comment on things they know nothing about. As once said by a GREAT statesman.... The only place I've been that this doesn't work is a major hospital....duh...at least because of the HIPPA rule, they lock EVERYTHING down.
