I had to use the local freenet in town to reach those speeds and since they are all volunteer when it went down on the weekend it was down until Sunday night, maybe Monday.
I am paying $49.95/mo. I probably don't exceed this bandwith limit they are thinking about but what if I do? That's fucking bullshit. They know that they are the only game in town and they aren't afraid of us moving to other providers. I am NOT going to deal w/a 1/5 of my bandwith and fucking Verizon. Hell no.
I work for another unnamed ISP. I have to deal w/fucking assholes all day. I could only imagine what they would say if this was put into effect. Most of the morons that call are the idiots that don't know their ass from third base. This would bring those smart people out of the woodwork.

as far as MS having to divulge its secrets in protecting their networks, I don't think that is viable. I am no MS fan by any means, but I don't see why they should be forced to allow open access from other OS's.
If they want to block out whatever, I think that they should have that right.
I still don't think that CUPS printing is as good as Windows printing. In fact, in repeated tests on my machine CUPS looks like SHIT when printing on photo paper compared w/printing from a Windows machine on the network.
Thus, it isn't a big deal. Don't waste your money on a big HP printer, you will be sorely disappointed.

I am basing my arguement on the sole fact that any game I see coming out for ZBox (that is worth anything to me anyway) is also out on PS2. I haven't seen 1 single game that made me go, hmm, I really should have an XBox.
