I lived in NH for about 15 years and took many trips to Franconia Notch (which is amazingly beautiful) in my time, and I agree with your statement. What made this thing special was the fact that it occurred in nature. Honestly, it didn't really bother me that much that it fell, but it would probably bother me if they artificially remade it.. Natural wonders are neat in that they occur naturally...
>>So for Windows Vista, the system's latest incarnation, Microsoft created a game that awarded points for bug-testing and prizes such as wristbands for achieving certain goals. Participation quadrupled.
There may have been a lot of participation, but in Vista's case QA went right out the Window(tm);)
War of the Worlds was one of the first sci-fi books that ever kept me turning pages, and it moves along at a pretty quick pace so it should keep them interested. Hopefully they haven't seen the Tom Cruise / Steven Speilberg recreation or the end will be spoiled!
I wish I had a shilling for every senseless killing, I'd buy a government. America's for sale and we can get a good deal on it, and make a healthy profit! -- NOFX
Interestingly enough, I've been approached 3 times now by people in the health care industry who have expressed a need for some time of asset tracking software and I've always given them my brother's card (his company specializes in RFID based asset tracking). Actually, one person specifically asked me if I was capable of integrating an RFID solution into their environment. I wonder how many companies are currently developing RFID based software geared towards the health care industry only to receive a backlash from the medical community when this type of information becomes common knowledge..
Surprised that nobody has yet linked this to the Mayan 2012 prophecy, in which The world will end on Dec 21, 2012... I'm not a big believer in apocalypse prophecies, I think it's just one of Man's primal fears and along with death, probably one of the reasons religions were created.
I'm a drummer, beginning with the black album Lars seemed to go with the "Less is More" approach to drumming, you know, the kind of sh*t you expect from AC/DC.. I don't really care how commercialized a band becomes as long as they continue to play to their fans' expectations, and the *new* over-produced and more radio friendly Metallica was like a 180.. And again, Napster dude!!!
I don't like anything Metallica has done since the black album (and yes of course this includes their assault on Napster and Metallica fans). Rockband currently has the following Metallica tracks available:
* Enter Sandman
* Ride the Lightning
* Blackened
* And Justice...
All of their new music has become radio friendly and lost it's edge, so I would be less likely to buy a game that features their newer content...
>> she would be as dangerous as she would be as president.
I imagine if she was going to run alongside B as VP that it would help unify the democratic voters and give them a better chance of winning the presidency. I voted democratic in the last 2 elections and came out the loser, if this is what it takes to win then I'm all for it...
I do a lot of my work day in a shell, but when I'm just tooling around browsing the web I prefer a GUI... I guess it makes it feel more like entertainment to me when it's more visually appealing:)
I use a wireless router at home and the broadband card when I'm on the road and I've found that the broadband card's performance differs based on location. I live in Tampa, FL. and when I'm downtown the speeds are impressive, but travel 15 miles outside of the city and it staggers. So, if you find yourself mostly located in areas with great cell coverage you will be fine, otherwise I'd be hesitant to drop your home service provider...
I agree that the chances of these organisms landing on other planets is more than likely, but what are the chances that those planets have an atmosphere in which these organisms can:
LOL, did you notice that one of the tags was "assholes", that seriously made my day :)
Agreed, but even though it will be viewed as a cheap prank it is still quite clever. Not to mention the fact that it had me LMFAO!!

Shipped it with an 80G hard drive. After you remove all the pre-installed bloat you could have about 10G for whatever you see fit!
LOL, Parent is modded "Insightful"!
TFA did not mention whether or not the scrolls would be translated into other languages, it would be interesting to read them in english.

Start your day shaking hands with Mickey and in under 2 hours you can be getting a blow from Minnie! Woot Woot! Engineering has cum a long way :p

Apparently anyone who really loved them also would not care to buy their new music...
Portability and scalability are what win it for me, I like to write my code once and it's got to be powerful enough to deliver a complex solution.

Best wishes to you two..
