there are drugs, waves, and the mysterious taos hum, they all effect your memory and thinking. i don't think they would delete your memory though, more like mess with you psychologically.
Another thing I think needs to be worked on is installation. I reinstalled Windows XP the other day and realized there were no confusing choices. It just asked for my name and timezone. Even the user friendly installs like Mandrake are hard. Has some choices that I'd rather not have to make. I just want it to work.
My biggest peeve with Linux is I have yet to get it to recognize my cable connection! you shouldn't have to type your ip, gateway, and other stuff i don't know in, it should just work, like windows. having to type startx to start a gui sucks. i know theres ways to get a gui to start automatically, but once i got linux installed with no internet, i can't look it up! blah...
thats what i was thinking, i've seen 7" DVD players for DVD's or download big ass files, not everyone has fast computers with DVD drives or broadband.
and if someone insists on storing them digitally so they don't have to fumble with DVD's, just get a cheap laptop with a DVD drive and they'll have a 15" screen an lots more.
somebody has been watching too much run lola run?!;)
$400 just for the 10gb version?! and i thought the ipod was expensive. i don't want to think about what the 20gb version with ogg will cost. it does look nice though...
i had the nomad jukebox zen 20gb, it was alright, i had like 4000 songs on there with almost perfect id3 tags, took me weeks, then my roomate steals it when he moves out, sigh. wouldn't work as an external drive like they said, you had to use the software that takes like 20 minutes to install to transfer files.
the fight scenes in fanimatrix were better than in the movie! i mean it actually looked believable. the camera angles and such were all good. i was dissapointed however with the fact that they tried so hard to make it exactly like it... sunglasses, no smiling, same clothes, the black guy stuck being an operator, etc...
i was expecting since its made by fans, other people just like us, that it would be a movie closer to "us". like people in normal clothes watching wheel of fortune in the living room getting the phone call and they are like "wth?!" and the pizza guy comes and turns into a bad guy. then they fight and the phone rings again and he gives them a pep talk over the phone to believe they can win, etc... that woulda been cooler:P
yes its true, once you get active you learn a lot more through experience. you would probably work in an S-6 or commo or whatever your group wants to call it.
our S-6, when we got deployed, managed to have a post intranet and website with all kinds of dvd rips and thousands of mp3's, plus we had internet. the website was well done too. they had all the latest software (doubt the army authorized and paid for it though..) they built computer from parts, fixed others, and pretty much had customer support for the entier base, all in a remote country you never heard of.
the military is only as advanced in this area as it's soldiers make it. the experts only look at the military training and standards, not the reality of what goes on in units. it can be poorer or better, but either way we get the job done.

that site says jetta's are the gayest. i was planning on getting a jetta too after this deployment. dammit!!!!:(
why are half the cars on that list VW? hmm...
they shoulda paid adelphia, then maybe they wouldn't be bankrupt and all that bad stuff. then my adelphia powerlink in pa would have been better, and not grind to a hault every 5 minutes.
i'm in the army. much of our computers are still running windows NT and crashes constantly. only within the last year or so i've started seeing some Dell computers with Windows 2000 and XP in a few Army offices. flat panel monitors are popping up a lot too.
so getting new hardware, OS's and Office Software is a good thing. yes we probably are paying twice as much or more than we need to, but thats normal and expected, and it's your tax money anyways. it's something that needs to be done, yes it can be done better, but at least it's happening. and for the linux people, we probably don't use it because of it's complexity, and the fact that they don't teach us it, and the fact that many people in the military are there cause they couldn't make it in the real world, therefore not being bright enough to learn it. and not to mention the old higher ranking people who make the decisions, they definately don't care to learn linux.
there are no more cartoons worth watching on saturday mornings, just a few good ones, thats why people don't watch! and they end so much sooner than they did back in the day, they show the news most of the morning!
ecco the dolphin. i played it more than a few years ago on sega genesis. it was really hard, so once i would figure out what to do, i'd feel all excited and stuff. i felt like i was ecco himself traveling in time and saving the world one molusk at a time.
i saw a movie something like that before. it was really good. kinda old, maybe made for TV like on USA Network or Lifetime. the house computer fell in love with the guy and tried to kill his wife and stuff. it had an arm that hung from rails on the cieling so it can travel around the house, and pick up stuff like knives. scary!
i'm in the U.S. Army and currently deployed (yes we still get internet in the middle of the desert). as a soldier, i should be all proud and stuff, and i am, but i still have the ability to decide for myself what is right and wrong in what we do.
i currently don't understand why we have to fight iraq. everyone who tries to explain fails to make a point. as far as i know, we are attacking because we think he has powerful weapons that he isn't telling us about. So!? He's allowed to have weapons, it's his country. We have powerful weapons, and i really don't see us letting the Iraqi's inspect our stuff.
the way i see it, if we have weapons, it's only right that he and everyone else does too. nobody gave the U.S. the divine earth ruling power to decide on how countries are allowed to defend themselves!
it's an eye for an eye, and we hit first, and for no apparent reason. he has every right to be pissed right now and fight back. maybe there is something that i am missing, even us soldiers get our knowledge from cnn. i might not see a point in all this, but i am a soldier, and i will fight if i have too. if i have to fight, i will win. but that's just my opinion, i may be wrong.
*naarrrf*
i'd always get like 3 normal skips, then like 10 really quick ones that barely leave the water, if that. do those count?
They didn't wanna look like they messed up again...

i can't live without them ;)
Great Post.

i read the FAQ, still don't get what it is, what it looks like, what it's used for, and couldn't find screenshots.

lol.. i was thinking the same thing :P
then why sterilize the phones?

that "turning of im in outlook" feature on the article about locking people's desktops worked for me! outlook is fast now! yay!

just don't call it a business. consider yourself someone who does contract work or something. call your website a porfolio and not a business.
