The NASA / ASRS forms are a great tool for pilots. They give us a tool to report unsafe situations and mistakes without fearing reprisals that could lead to someone getting their license pulled.
"The filing of a report with NASA concerning an incident or occurrence involving a violation of the FARs is considered by the FAA to be indicative of a constructive attitude. Such an attitude will tend to prevent future violations. Accordingly, although a finding of a violation may be still be made, neither a civil penalty nor certificate suspension will be imposed if: (1) The violation was inadvertent and not deliberate; (2) The violation did not involve a criminal offense or accident nor action which discloses a lack of qualification or competency; (3) The person has not been found in any prior FAA enforcement action to have committed a violation since initiation of the ASRS of the Federal Aviation Act or any regulation promulgated under that act; and (4) The person proves that, within 10 days after the violation, he or she completed and delivered or mailed a written report of the incident or occurrence to NASA under ASRS."
"This information (without your identity) will be used to correct problems within our aviation system. Portions of reports are used in the newsletter, CALLBACK. Reading ASRS reports can be a positive learning experience. Learning from others' mistakes is less painful and less expensive. "
But, for companies, mergers and acquisitions is a huge deal. it can determine the path and success for a company for many years down the road. What I want to see is how this will impact thier valuations. Also, I would like to see how they avoid some of the common pitfalls, what are thier intentions?
Maybe true, but JMS is a standard and not proprietary. So I ask you the same question. Did you read the article? Let me reiterate the first sentence of the post:
"...create an open-source message queuing system that can compete with proprietary message systems like IBM MQSeries and Tibco/RV..."
We use C and C++ adapters to communicate to the JMS servers all the time with no performance hit. Heck, I even have JMS running on the old MVS systems.
For me, the best solution for a large enterprise is something like JMS, this way we can change the backend (MQSeries/Tibco) and not impact the developers because they still connect the same way.
I work for a major airline (and the only one that has always been profitable =)) Because of the nature of our business, we have to use both Tibco and MQSeries for our communications. We must use both because of the transactional nature of running an airline (communication to / from the aircraft) and the non-transactional (Sabre / Ticketing). If there was a product that gave us the ability to do guaranteed / clustered messaging in both a synchronous and synchronous environments we would be all over it. In the end we end up with MQSeries butting messages on a Tibco bus that everyone uses as a pub / sub system. This system is used for everything from liqueur kits to engine maintenance to baggage and flight plans. If there was a combination of point to point (MQSeries) and Tibco (pub/sub) I would be in heaven!
After seeing this I called the 1800 number and got a rebate. It was the easiest thing I have ever done with a computer company.

Fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face.
A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.
The school is in Forney. About 15 miles southeast of Dallas. Dallas ISD would never be that forward thinking. Besides, the laptops would set off all the metal detectors.
"internet access is highest among females 35-54"
So thats why there are 3 girls registered on the OSDN Personals instead of the one that had her pic put in the banner. That would account for the huge jump =)
Yeah, its called "Rocky Horror Picture Show" Been there, done that. But it would be cool to expand on it. Aliens would be a fun movie to do and most people seem to already know all the lines.
Sorry for the dupe, wrong email address.
So yesterday I got a new piece of spam. The subject was "Update Your Resume" and it was dated December 31, 1969. Well, a lot has happened to me since 1969 so I am sure their info for me is way out of date. I thought this email would be my favorite for a long time to come. Wrong! Today I got this one: I own stranded.org b.t.w. So I am wondering who the "Stranded.org team" is =)

It's a movie. Let's see. It took me about one month to read all the books as a kid. By my thinking, if you made the books as they are into the separate movies, they would be much longer than the 3+ hour epics they are now. I expect there to be omissions. I pray for omissions!
I take the original fax and tape it to a few blank sheets of paper. On the blank sheets I write something like "remove me from your list". Anyways, insert the first page, hit paper feed and tape it to the last page so it forms a loop. Dial the offending number and let it run all night. Kills their ink, paper and phone line all in one. It may not be effective but it makes me feel better.

Sarbanes-Oxley Act? Shortness of Air? Sin Otro Apellido? Shadow of Amn?
Is it about the space program? Russan traditions? Politics/Oil (What a way to slide that one in there!) Take a Ritalin, then rewrite the post.
I know how it ends, saw The Andromeda Strain a long time ago...

As if I didn't feel inferior to my girlfriends "toys" before...this is gonna be bad.
You would think a site about debugging wouldn't have any errors on it... oh well.
