Make sure that you understand what the list is meant for, and how aggressive the list is. Some lists tell you right off of the bat that they should be used for experimental or reference purposes only, and shouldn't be used in a production environment. Talk to friends and colleagues, reference newsgroups. Start small, and see how effective your beginning measures are before increasing your efforts. Your customers and/or company depend on email, and I have seen too much legimate traffic blocked by aggressive lists being used without proper research beforehand.

Don't sales reps who are recently hired often get bonus for "bringing" their client base with them? I have heard of this before, but I don't know for sure since I am not in Sales. Seems to me that if there is a lack of a NDA or non compete then all's fair. If I was a client being pulled from one company to another with a central person involved, I would do it for one of two reasons (both would be best) 1) I have a track record with the central person - I know that if I need 25,000 widgets or 10,000 lines of code by Friday, they will deliver. 2) As mentioned before, they are cheaper. Seems to me to be part of competition in the business world, but then again, this isn't my area of expertise.

Looking for a copy. Heck, I've been meaning to get it for about a year or so now (I'm not a huge console fan) and they dropped the price to $30. The guy running the electronics (I'm in there twice a week at least since I work evening shift, and the guy and I are cordial) told me that he had some on Saturday but they seem to have disappeared. He was expecting more in, but republished ones with the offending language edited. I asked him if they were actively pulled, and he told me that they weren't, as he'd be the one that would be pulling them. Looks like Wal-Mart isn't too flipped out about it. He also told me that the "protest" was nothing to write home about.
