The Introvert Advantage
·
· Score: 3, Interesting
First of all I think each introvert process a different degree of introversion. I consider myself 65-70% introverted--depending on the situation.
With this degree of being introverted, I found this book help me reach a deeper understanding of myself. For example, of why I tend to get deeply involved in a subject or get zoned out when I concentrate on something. From that understanding I learn how to manage myself better in relations to others.
Setting several useful tips aside, I believe the understanding alone that I gained from this book give me a deeper self actualization, which in the process helps me see my own strengths and weaknesses. Seeing one's own strengths and weaknesses can certainly enable one to become fuller and lead a richer life.
I very much enjoy reading this book. In a way I felt like reading about myself even though I don't agree 100% with all the characteristics of an introvert as described in the book.
All in all I still recommend it as a very good read, eps. for all of us introverts
This one is a great addition to the book shelf, you all know how to get certain things out of your carrear but this book clarifies nicely why you are actually doing it. Also, it introduces nice humorous concepts which normal software development books might not have covered before.
This one is a great addition to the book shelf, you all know how to do certain things Java Objects but this book clarifies nicely why you are actually doing it. Also, it introduces nice advanced Java Object concepts which hardcore OOers might not have come across before.

I have a VLK Key gen. Because using a FCKGW was blocked by SP1 so I'm assuming that other popular keys used now will be blocked when SP2 or SP3 comes out therefore I use the VLK generator!
This one is a great addition to the book shelf, you all know how to do certain things with.NET languages but this book clarifies nicely why you are actually doing it. Also, it introduces nice new.NET library/bytecode concepts which hardcore Visual basic 6/VC++ 6 users might not have come across before.
Who would have thought that the German constitution has had this law suit thrown out of court and protect a company while blatantly created a program for copyright violation, while the US constitution allows a collage student to be sued for his life savings by the RIAA for simply creating a search engine.

Also the seektime of the CD-ROM will be a bottleneck, a problem with Live distrubutions is the long delay when loading programs and multi-tasking with them stored at different parts of the CD. It is frustrating and infinatly slower than a Hard disk. How much does a 1GB hard disk cost anyway?
Sony has been making cameras with bluetooth for a while, the FX77 is quite a high spec camera which offers the ability to send pictures to other bluetooth devices. Such as a GPRS mobile phone so you can upload them to the internet. A bluetooth laptop so you can save directly to its hard drive, eliminating the need for expensive Memory sticks.
Some of Sony's digital cameras which don't have BT built in have the ability to support the CLIE Memory Stick Bluetooh adaptor. This is not news.
Although OSS does try to clone Windows "Look and Feel" (KDE themes etc..) and even Windows features in the form of WINE, the community is very pedantic on making sure they do not use Microsoft code or break any laws. If developers of Open Sauce software disregard IP laws they are shooting themselves in the foot, because the whole paradigm of Free software relies on users sticking to the IP/Copyright laws and complying with the licence.
I believe this is the regular Microsoft FUD, trying to kick Linux when it is "down" .
I don't believe it's fair to blame Microsoft if they chose to charge customers for certain updates. After reading the article I can't find any intention to charge for critical security updates, only for small bugfix and minor improvement type updates. Howevar this is not so bad, certainly better than Red Hat who's up2date tool requires subscription for all updates, even security ones. Red Hat are celebrated as hero's of open sores, because they have found the magic business model, yet there are worse than Microsoft! Debian zealots will say that apt-get is the solution, but it does not offer signed packages, which is vary important to enterprise customers who do not have time to check every MD5sum. Even for the home user, md5 is not secure!
have u even tried RTCW: ET. its more than running round shooting baddies, you have different classes with differnet roles and abilities. You need teamwork and skill to win a level. It blows crap like UT2k3 out of the water.
This one is a great addition to the book shelf, you all know how to do certain things in Perl 6 but this book clarifies nicely why you are actually doing it. Also, it introduces nice new perl concepts which hardcore perl 5 scripters might not have come across before.
It introduced me to games, hacking(traditional sense) and progrmming. It was an old Acorn/bbc basic computer, got it when I was about 8. At that age all I did was play crap games but later on I started hacking the code and finally writing my own extremely crappy games.
I really hope this doesn't happen.
This is another picture of the great ape in its natural habitat

It's official slashbots are dying. Trolls are winning the war!
Insert that in your stretched anus G.W.Taco and your war on trollarism.
That is insanely stupid putting what could easily be displayed in a HTML quite easily, into a fucking excel file.
This would be +99 Flamebait.
It's good to know the slasdot editors are trolls at heart.

Because Microsoft actually make money selling Windows XP embeded licences, as opposed to losing money on evary Xbox sale!
