    What if you have an NRA (or similar) sign on your house?

    From what I've seen on Law and Order, you may get in trouble if a gun is stolen and used in a crime unless you file a report. Just don't wait to file a report!

    I never would have guessed the copy stayed in memory on the device. When I copy, scan to email or, scan to file it doesn't give me the option to 'scan again without reinserting original'... or does that imply the ones we have don't have this 'feature'?

    So your OS is using all your available memory sometimes... is your PC slow? Currently on my system with 4gb of RAM I have 0mb of Physical memory free and it is running plenty fast.

    Why is that a problem?

    Am I the only person who questions whether or not WeFi actually has data for all Wireless Access Points? I'm not sure where they get their data from, but if nobody in my area has scanned with their software do they show up in their system? Does their system take in account non broadcasting ap's? What about ad-hoc? Where I work I see laptops all the time set to broadcast as an ad-hoc connection... often named 'Free Public Wifi' or 'Free Internet Access' or 'HPsetup'. In the office I work in there is a coffee shop on the first floor and I literally see 15+ laptops generate alerts for being open AP's.

    If your company was really missing deadlines and producing poor code, somebody would have noticed and the situation would have changed. Our policy is as long as the work gets done, and we aren't doing anything illegal, whats the difference? Either you need to change or change jobs, if you get everybody else fired I'm sure you won't be too happy.

    Works great. My family also get adblock and flashblock... they have no idea that the internet still has ads and have never been annoyed by a flash animation fly over their screens. :)

    What I did the last time I traveled... USB key with keylogger. Waited for a local person to use it, then used their login. Confused my friends on facebook and twitter for the first few days. :)

    Why does the electronic voting machine have to be a touch screen? Why not a list of the options with buttons with an LED in them that light up when you press the button? The list could be on a separate display next to the buttons but nothing changes therefore the 'van eck phreaker' would only get the data on the screen, not the option picked... but I have no knowledge of this sort of stuff.

    Maybe some places do that, but where I live we do vote by mail.

    Microsoft can't make anybody happy... They hire one of the best comedians to do a funny commercial and everybody gets mad. They do commercials competing with apples 'I'm a mac' and everybody gets mad. They show that pc's can be cheaper and people get mad. They make commercials showing how easy to use it is and people get mad. Now they make a commercial showing people ideas for a launch party for what is possibly their best OS ever and people get mad.

    They might as well just make commercials featuring goatse guy eating a baby, they couldn't make people happy anyway.

    Best program I've ever used. Allows you to delay when programs start so they don't all start at the same time and you can actually USE windows as soon as you log in.

    duh... but what does it MEAN? It's an audio ad. Source code can be modified, how do you modify an advertisement and come out with something 'forked' from the original?

    Also, what does a company providing that technology have to do with whether or not the government approves it? If the government blocked companies from selling it, that would be censorship.

    That doesn't mean it's all of a sudden a PC and can do whatever you want it to. Do you think that means you can hook a keyboard and mouse to it and run apt-get to install packages?

    So get the cheaper tv without linux and use the difference to build a PC with an HDMI output.

    Seriously, linux practically runs every type of appliance you can think of, but don't buy them expecting them to be any different because of it.
