I wonder how long after WiMax is released that the same type of method can be used. It could really be a better technology than GPS if done correctly. I really don't like waiting for my GPS handheld to determine where every satellite is and connect to each...

I remember when I would check my email many times per day. I now have all my emails forwarded to my hotmail account and have them SMS'd to my cell phone. This saves lots of time on my part, and I get INSTANT notifications on when my emails come in! It's great
Does anybody see anything wrong with this picture? Died on May 13th... Today's date: May 23rd To me it seems as though there was a 10 day delay. Did it take that long to realize who this guy was?

Why would there be any overheating issues? the article states that there isn't any modification to the default voltage. There is no extra power being given to the chip, only that its running at a faster click cycle on the power it already has. If you went and upped the voltage, you would need better cooling, yet the chip *should* yield higher clockings.
This will be great for barebone systems. It'll alow them to now sell them without a processor necessarily. The customer can decide whether they want an AMD or an Intel processor. The only problems is the unnecessarily large daughter board that the AMD chip will sit in...
Hmm, nuclear reactions? Isn't the point to get hydrogen to be used with fusion(w/ helium3) without any byproducts? If you need to start using nuclear reactions, this still isn't a 'great' way to get hydrogen. I still believe using solarpanels and using electrolysis for getting hydrogen is still the best way. No CO2, no nuclear waste... Well that's just my opinion...
RC's aren't a huge deal (in my opinion anyways), compared to -RELEASES. I'm sure the 2.0-RELEASE will be on the frontpage of slashdot for surely!

Well I am a big fan of Open and Free BSD's. As soon as I get my iBook back in from warantee I will be dualbooting OSx with netbsd. I tried Openbsd and it simply never had the support. Understand the BSD goals. Openbsd tries to be the most secure/stable OS. FreeBSD likes to be rich with features. NetBSD tries to get on as many architechtures as possible. It's all about flavors, just like various flavors of linux. There, I hope that helps you:)
Just 25 tonnes of helium, which can be transported on a space shuttle, is enough to provide electricity for the US for one full year. Only 10 kilograms of helium are available on earth.
I don't know, to me 25 tonnes seems like a lot, and only the US for one year? this seems like it is going to deplete much faster than fossilfuels. Just my few cents
It was only a matter of time for them to use AMD's extention. Common now, why would they want to have 2 different 64-bit extentions on the market competing. This would just be extremely annoying to developers and such. On top of that, AMD's has been out now for quite a while, so trying to jump into the market NOW with their own wouldn't be very smart...
I agree. I purchased an iPod a year ago now, and an iBook a few months back. The iPod never influenced my decision at all to buy the iBook. I always like trying new hardware and operating systems. In my posession, I have i386/P4(a few), sparc64, and macppc... It's nice having various platforms to fool around on and try!
ok thats just bad, on god's part. He must have stock piled warehouses just from me:/

Seriously though, it's neat to see hacks like this. It should also be noted that the chick in the middle of this picture [dca.net] is kinda cute. But does anyone know what the pills are in the bottom left corner of that picture?
Well common now, what kind of question is that. The guy in the middle is a hippy, they're partying (kind of... maybe in their own ways), and they're nerds... Needs I say more?

So, what. Instead of writing "democracy" could they simply type "(censored)" . That works

Pffft. You can always upgrade the firmware on a device that it is not designed for. All you need to do it force it.
Now, the question is whether it will work afterwards or not...
Hey can someone please tell me how I can find out where my windows is installed? It says here http://secunia.com/internet_explorer_command_execu tion_vulnerability_test
that windows needs to be installed in c:\windows\ for their test exploit to work 'properly'
Computer specs: iBook g3 800mhz...
I hope that helps a little

And, the real question of the day is... "WHY?"
Now, I could be wrong, but I heard from a lot of people that it is the year 2005 bug... How did we not see this come?
Seems a little too long and uncut for my liking
