you know, this is all nice and good, if you only get 1 or 2 spam emails a month, but if you (like me) get about 20 a day, you simply click delete or set up some filter to autodelete the suckers. I really have no inclination to reserve time to get rid of those types of email anymore, if one of my emailaddresses get too much spam a day, I simply let it fly, and get a new one.
In M2 (Opera) you can have an email in multiple 'views' while it is still just 1 email in the physical view. But that way you can add the email in multiple folders without wondering if you are looking at the correct email
We used to have a cd-rental business here in The Netherlands, much the same as renting LP albums. It was great. I'm not sure if it still excists though, because the owner of the local cd-rental decided to move to some other place.
While they make millions? ha! I wish I was starving while making 10 million dollars per movie I feature in. (I would still be broke, for I don't feature in any movie, but that's just a small detail)
I hope they will find some loophole in that bill, for independent musicians who upload their music files free of charge to the world, to get more listeners.
How about those MMORPGs there are right now? aren't they played by quiet a large number of women? or are they just boys pretending to be a female?
I think what is needed to attract more women to a computer, is to first make a game more visually appealing, and also with more story to it than just "Blow every single person to bits (and bytes)".
Perhaps those games could give me an incentive to play games again.
well they _are_ talking about DRM... Which is, if I'm not mistaken, being promoted by Microsoft, which in turn is the master in bloating. So some bloating is bound to happen.

I found it amusing to see some AOL programmers basically say something about stealing software...
and see what are they doing to their customers now?
I personally rather play older games which give me a better storyline or better gameplay, than those new and flashy games, which have a flimsy storyline or is so detailed in graphics that it requires multi-processors to even give a moving picture...:)
The-underdogs is also my hideout, in search of those gems.. sadly Elite 3 doesn't run under XP:(
I can only find 1 link to openoffice.org in the /. article.. unless I see it wrong?
thank god, software patents aren't yet enforcable in the EU...
Man, I wouldn't like to be the one to replace the broken leds ;)
oh god please tell me you are joking...
If the system really works that way, then IMHO the system is broken in the US, and needs amending quickly.
You know there is a term called "frivolous claims", and I think this is exactly what it is, in this case.
The RIAA gains the 'evidence' in a somewhat skewy way, shady at best, and it gets accepted in court?!
Funny, they want people to call it New View... I read it as Envie You

does fair use still exist then?
Apparently the site got /.-ed and is still gone...
I join you on the weird/sad part. It gave me goosebumps as well :)

I thought that Pres. Bush didn't have a meeting in Africa at this time...
With all the buzzing of SCO about Linux being a tainted OS, I think that counts as promotion as well ;)
wouldn't that be "All foreigners are terrorists?"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you would want to download an .exe file in this scenario, you wouldn't be allowed. Right?
.exes are just plain evil, but not _all_.
Of course, a lot of
Kopete is really comming along nicely
;)
I can see it really works
(J/K)
Hmmm, could be nice :) :D
but only if it needs Hoshi to operate it
only if you use an English Windows version... :)
:(
